Documentary about the women who tried to stop World War 1. In 1915 1300 women from warring and neutral nations got together in the Hague to find a way towards peace. They became the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom which celebrates its centenary on 28th April 2015. This documentary celebrates those early feminists. Modern members of WILPF and young volunteers worked together to uncover the truth about these women who Churchill called "dangerous".

This is a wonderfully creative and imaginative portrayal by our British sisters in the Women's International League for Peace and Freedom of our visionary fore mothers who advocated for peace in 1915. They organized to attend the conference of peace women in the Hague and to plead for negotiation and the end to WWI but were prevented from crossing the Channel. What a tribute to our 100th Anniversary this April 28 when peacewomen will again meet in the Hague and when pleas for mediation are still sorely needed! "never again must women dare to believe that they are without responsibility because they are without power. Public opinion is power. Strong and reasonable feeling is power. Determination is power."

"What these women did in 1915 should be in every history book".
