Absolutely beautiful. Don’t ever stop playing, and more importantly, don’t stop discovering older music to help you with your future music

At 68yo it brings my heart happiness to see a young humble musician enjoying many days past and keeping brilliant tunes alive and well. I am sure Jackson is quite proud to hear his tune sung by you and Greg RIP would smile for sure.

It's great to see younger musicians recognize greatness. Jackson Browne was one of those who inspired me to play acoustic guitar. He is a modern day poet whose lyrics mirror many of the problems and sufferings we all face. He lived below Glen Frey of the Eagles long ago and Glen and he were friends. He wrote many great songs even at 16 he had a lot of insight. I'm,so glad his music continues to breed such young artists. This was a great cover. So glad I ran across this. It brought back many memories. Thanks for a great post

I was going to say a few things then read a few of the other comments and realised the majority are around my vintage 70 y/o and yes it is is so refreshing to hear such fine young musicians as yourself acknowledge and appreciate the depth and quality of songs and artists such as Jackson Browne. I’m sure when you are 70 there will be folks saying the same about you. All the best in life and your musical journey.👍✌🏾ps have a listen to Jackson c Franks

Hearing Jackson Browne sing this could bring a guy to tears. Also hearing Gregg Allman sing it that's in my favorite band could also bring me to tears. And now you have, such a wonderful job on this song.

Quentin, this is the best cover of this song I have heard. Brilliant!. And yes, it is an amazing song, especially given that Jackson wrote it when he was only 16. It's one of those songs that, when you hear it, you wish you had written it yourself. Like you say of your own efforts, I am still trying and failing to write my own original music. I'm 64 now and still at it. Keep trying my friend, you have a gift. As for failing, just endeavour to fail better every time. I forecast that you are going to make it in the music business. You are too good and dedicated not to make it. I look forward to hearing you on the airwaves in the future.

Well done! I grew up listening to Jackson Browne since his first album came out in ‘72 (I was 3 years old), and in turn, my 3 daughters also grew up in his music… he’s my all time favorite! I’m glad you “discovered” him. He’s lyrically rich. I’ll subscribe to your channel and be listening for your own songs to unfold!

Great job Quentin. You have the passion and gift that will take you far. This is one of my very favorite songs since I first heard his version back in the 75 or 76. I first heard Gregg Allman's version back 1973 or 74 when I was 16, before I discovered Jacksons records. WOW!! I play dobro and lap steel guitar and love rocking out on those instruments on this song and other JB songs. I also play acoustic and lead guitar, bass and piano and have played those instruments in different cover bands over the years. Jackson is probably my all time favorite singer/songwriter. I wear out his greatest hits CD of his 70's studio recordings and never grow tried of those songs and the amazing production. Best wishes young man!

Thanks for this wonderful cover. That song helped me get through a bad breakup in the 80s. I listened to Jackson Brown's original, and The Allman Brother's amazing rendition until I came out the other end of it. When I hear it now, I have to stop everything, and tear up a little. You've done it great justice.

Great job Quentin! As you probably know he originally wrote it with four verses. If you want you can find some of his performances where he includes an extra “second verse.“ About gambling/rambling. Another tidbit: if you research how he actually picks it he does a reverse Travis picking on the chorus. It makes it very unique. I’ve been playing for longer than I care to admit but I grew up on the original cat Steven/James Taylor/Jackson Browne albums. You give me great hope that our singer songwriter tradition is alive and well.
