There is another one that you should be aware of: the Oxo double-ended melon baller. But not for balling melons: for coring apples and pears. (Does anyone even ball melons anymore?) The melon baller removes the minimal amount of edible fruit flesh while neatly excising the core. Another couple of quick cuts with the melon baller remove the stem and the bud end. Compared to traditional apple coring devices, this gives you several more bites of edible fruit.

Pass on all these kitchen clutter "gadgets." I already own a colander of useful size, a mandolin, a sharp knife and plastic wrap (also a reusable lid with a vent). Has ATK ever researched an oil or liquid sprayer? I have one called Misto that can be found on Amazon. It is a sprayer that you can fill with your own oil. It is like a spray can (PAM) but it is refillable. Just fill it, pump it up, and spray (supposedly). It works ok but when filled with something like olive oil it tends to just spray it in a small stream and not so much like a mist. I would love to find a new one that works with oils.
