The reason for using 8-inch speakers is in the bass. Kevlar's durability and reasonable price make it possible to choose KRK.

hello, the KRK R8 are good but there is a big problem: a constant hissing noise even when the XLR cables are not connected. It's really annoying and incomprehensible. There is nothing you can do, no device can take away this breath. You can reduce the db a bit to -10db but that doesn't fix a problem. It's in the low-end design and components. I was fooled, few people talk about this problem.

@@sergeysmelnik Haven't heard the 4th generation, so can't really speak about those, but if it is anything like the G3 (which I own), and generally how KRK RP's sound, I would personally go with Kali. Only when I got the Kali's I realized just how muddy KRK's are, and how wider and deeper the sound is on Kali, literally heard details, both in my mixes and just listening to music, that I never heard before. I see KRK made some decent improvements in G4, so they might as well be really good, I'll have to hear for my self.

I mainly make rap/trap/rnb and similar stuff so I want the speakers to really smack, and idk if the 5 can do it. Some people told me that the 7 is too much for 11m2, but I see mixed opinions online. Hi, I am after some advice here i possible please. I have just bought 2 RP8 G4s to replace my RP5 G3s However my new RP8s produce less bass that the RP5s! The speakers are fine, not faulty, because if I plug them into my laptop in another room the bass is superb, so its the room. My question is, can the room be treated so the bass is felt, however the room is only about say 3 meters by 2 meters. Or is it just impossible for these speakers to perform in a room that size even if treated. Cheers Gaz

@manosprotonotarios5187 3 жыл бұрын
@@markellos.plakitsis you are supposed to do a sound test - also using the krk app - at one setting. Then you set it differently, and do another test. In the end the app sets it properly for the placement and room you have. If you need to change eq settings for different songs etc, you do that at the source of the sound. The speaker eq is supposed to make the speakers flat for a specific placement and room. I understand what you mean, i would prefer to set more bass when listening for pleasure, and less when producing music. But the eq is supposed to serve one purpose.

@@EdwardSmithMusic Not true you always need a sub..if you look at the specs of your speakers you will understand that no matter what you think about it, you are definitely missing frequencies. In particular, those which are under 35hz. What is interesting to understand is that the subwoofer, being adjustable, allows you to find frequencies that your main speakers are struggling to reproduce. For example ... Let's say your speakers go down to 38hz, to -6db. Therefore, you should understand that this is the limit offered by your speakers. It’s a "flaw", nothing less! So if your subwoofer is adjusted to fully restore dB at frequencies below those possible with your speakers, you get a fuller sound, and more faithful to the recording. But beware! Adjusting a subwoofer is a very delicate technique requiring a VERY developed ear. Question: What is YOUR reason for not using a subwoofer in your stereo listening?

Try to avoid a sub at all costs if you can. Buy the biggest monitors you can in this case the rp8s or even the rp10-3. There is also the choice of V8 S4s which are tuned to play lower than the rp8s. The problem with having a sub is most people only get a single one and never set them up right. Even with auto calibration it can be close to impossible to get a sub to blend with speakers due to all the phasing and standing wave issues. If you can tell theres a sub playing then its setup bad. And by the time you spend money on a pair of subs you could have just bought bigger better monitors.

I don't agree with you it's been 15 years that I am a sound engineer. And I had no problem with a sub .. when we know how to use it well, there is no problem ... in addition the large professional studio uses it .... because they know all the potential and the beneficial of the sub. But for that you need a quality sub. example ADAM AUDIO ..Avoid those which are made in China

The overall sound signature of the krks is a bit warmer. The main thing you should figure out and what will affect the sound the most is the tweeter material. The yamahas use an aluminum tweeter while the krks use kevlar. The krks will give less fatigue if youre sensitive to high end. Both measure very flat.

My 'awesome' Rokit speakers have the dumbest set of smart controls I ever encountered. The volume has to be uncomfortably loud or they keep switching off.

Stereo means coming from 2 sources (left and right). The answer is yes. As long as you have a pair and your DAW or whatever system you're using to control the sound is set to stereo output.

It feels odd hearing him refer to this pixilated ass screen as 2020 technology. Sure, this technology exist in 2020, but referring to a screen that's as pixelated as a T1 94 calculator as "2020 technology" seems like a colorful way to describe a screen that likely represents 1980's technology. Nevertheless, this was a great review and video.

Good speakers but the worst feature is the auto shut off. It turns off when there is no signal. You have to blast your signal or volume to wake it up LOL Low volumes will make it shut down. Worst speaker of all time.

Edward, KRK Rokit is NOT good as you're saying in your video. I bought mine Rokit 8 and I've only used more than 16 hours. One speaker's already dead. Then on my Rokit G2, I've only used more than 18 hours in the last 10 years; my right speaker just lost 95% on the volume. The best speakers is YAMAHA. I've been using my Yamaha for hours and hours and hours in the last 13 years. They'll still working. I'm just so pissed with KRK. I will NEVER buy anything from KRK. They're just piece of junk speakers. Edward, again....KRK Rokit is NOT good to mix on "rock" and "Metal" music. IT IS NOT ACURATE!!!! If you guys do POP, RAP, and R&B, you would never noticed anything. You'll probably think KRK is "Awesome." But what I found, KRK speakers are NOT clean on electric guitar sound. They are very filtered. I can't believe you're telling people that these speakers are great and yet you haven't even used them long enough. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just telling the real TRUTH. KRK is worthless. Peace.

You are paid by Yamaha? They are overhyped and i really not that good, especially not for small bedroom producers with the rear bassport. I never had a problem with my RP8 G4.
