The way I got my pet back to my base was by using the "allow cage return" but the range is pretty short. I placed the cage like 20 feet away and then allowed cage return. The pet will start walking towards the cage. Right before it got to the cage, I packaged it and moved it a little farther away. I was able to "walk" it back to my base this way. P.S. when you're in your crafting bench, there is a button for bench upgrades in the top right. It briefly mentions it to you early on, and I forgot and didn't realize it was there for quite some time. You should definitely check it out.

Hey, just in case you haven't already found it the hacking device has a dedicated slot to the bottom right of your inventory screen. By it you'll see your pager and a watch symbol. The slot should be there

There's a special equip slot for the hacking keypad. It should never need to be on your hotbar.

I loved this part of the game and how it paid homage to other horror games. Went from sirenhead vibes to Freddy fazbears to the backrooms, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thanks for giving us more! 1:19:04 BTW, I don't know if you'll get the ability to brew real alcohol later but modern root beers you find in soda machines aren't fermented at all, they get their fizz and foamy head from carbonated water similar to coke. More traditionally made root beers probably have a tiny amount of alcohol but root beers in general are a very old 'small beer' made from the sassafrass root. Small beers were the everyday drink for all ages before modern water purification. The brewing process is stopped very early, fermenting only enough for flavor and sanitation, so they only contain about 2% alcohol at max. A root beer float is a dessert where you pour the fizzy root beer over vanilla ice-cream. 😁

thanks for playing this, it´s so fun to watch how another person experience this amazing game and i like your style. For the Aboo Story (or new Aboo) i lured one in a box close to my base. And placed the hamster wheel close, too. so i could connect it via tecscrap to anything i wanted to. i kinda have a safe pre entering room to my base. The base attacks btw are mostly spawned to the working bench, so maybe place a second fake/bate one, or seperate them from the rest of your inportant stuff, cause the mobs love to destray structures. Your Keypad hacker item has a special slot like chest or helmet, so you put it there and have the spot free in inventory

Looking forward to more Abiotic Factor!! I can't wait to see more base tweaks and organizing. I was thinking putting traps around the pool because it's the path the monsters have to take to get to you. Would be nice to build mannequins to display old/unused armor pieces so you can display your sets; nice way of showing all the progress you've made in the game. :) I eagerly check your channel every day for updates. When more abiotic factor? Cheese-tip: You can't repair the pistol normally, but if you combine it with flashlight, or remove the flashlight by recycling, it restores the pistol to full durability.

So how I got my little pet to base was a bit of a backwards way. If you have no item in the slot and you use the LMB to shove, you can get him to where you need to go (a pain but effective). Also they can eat Anteverse Wheat.

"Rootbear float! you can make alcohol?" Root beer isnt alcoholic, it's just a soda, and a root beer float is just root beer and ice cream.

Hey Insym, there is a way better base to settle in, it is the locked office that views the door of manufacturing west, you need to go to level 2 and hack a door, if you come from level 1 then to the reception and you go left past the electric cable, you can find this place with a coffee machine, toilets, lockers and vending machines seriously it's too good. Also you can put the hacking device in a slot in you inventory, left of your character.

Seeing your sheer delight in this episode is enough to make any gamer's inner loot goblin heart grow a size or two! Please keep this series going, it is good for the soul!

Oh my gosh I was waiting for this, I almost finished the game and was waiting for you to continue this series. This game is insane. BTW the scrap pistol is actually very good, it has one bullet, but does 50dmg and is easy to craft, with good reload skill it's actually very strong I was using it for the big part if the playthrough as I was saving 9mm ammo lol 😂

I Love this game, and I'm loving this playthrough! Please keep it going! Would love to see another game with the full squad. By the way; you should check out the crafting bench upgrades. The one that requires the raw Exor Hearts is a must have! (Exors are the "purple magic guys", you have to cut up their bodies with a sharp weapon). Also, if you check the 'entities' on your GATEpad, it will tell you about resistances and weaknesses of certain foes. As a general rule, its better to use blunt on the 'aliens' and sharp on the soldiers.

Cant wait for next episode even if its early access 🥳 Built my gym base myself and awesome to see Insym do the same. But I strongly consider moving to the security room with the gun range and scientist. Bit longer way to water and tram but will keep those dimension rifts at bay! Aaand you get a recharge station😁 Have 1 or 2 moving trolleys makes it easier for relocation👌

sum I found Is using large file cabinets around the map to block off places I dont want monsters coming through, ie the place where you can use the water to kill robots is an op base location the rooms next too it have everything including a robot that respawns and a charging station outside the room

Been loving this playthrough! Half Life definitely inspired the game, and if you love Abiotic Factor's story, you're gonna love Half Life. It's super similar in terms of a science company doing research on otherworldly dimensions and entities, as well as the endearing funny scientist/employee NPCs.

Btw for the smolder pot you need to first fill water pot with water, then add silver ware, and metal. Make sure to view your that Journal thingy if you are stomped

Insym, a rootbear float is not alcohol. It's just rootbear with ice cream in it. I think there may be some form of alcohol version but traditionaly rootbear is just another softdrink.

Not sure if it was a direct inspiration but I get major Prey vibes from, a few of the mechanics and ideas are pretty similar if not the same. Prey is one of my favorite games so its really cool to see other games use similar ideas from it!

Insym, we need more of Abiotic Factor. Please. Love you, love your streams, it really interesting to watch your playthrough even if I played the game myself. Game is also superb. I LOVE the gun balance in the game. There are no such situation where you find a gun or a "specific" gun and the game becomes an easy walk. Shotgun, for example, (actually some light mechanic, you might want to feel yourself first, so under spoiler) Also I've lost my chin when you got a rat backpack. I've killed dozens of that rats and didn't get a single one and didn't even know it exists, and it is the largest backpack I've seen so far, so i was startled when you got it . . . . . . . Shotgun, for example, is one of the ugliest, nastiest, most unpleasable shotgun I've ever used in a game. But you feel that it is UNIQUE weapon that you need to find a way to play with and it is pretty outstanding.

Please do not abandoned this series 🙏

I would absolutely love to see a half-life playthrough if you feel like it. It is environmental storytelling at its peak prolly my favourite game series ever.

Of course their not gonna thank you for obtaining those power cells from flathill. They called you dumb for disabling the containment field that was powered by the cells. Theyd probably attack you if they knew it was you

Realized that this is kinda like your 7D2D loadout. Club and shotgun. nice!

I haven't figured out the pets yet, we've had two die on us now lol. (I play with my brother) I like to keep my power cells in the fridge since it reduces radiation by 25 percent. I also have a separate kitchen otherwise my character vomits all the time when I spend too much time next to my radiated raw meat and power cells even through the fridge. This game is so cool though I am going to play more today!
