IDK, I sold a guy a 2000 accord ex with leather and sunroof (V6) and the interior was damn near perfect. No rust, no accidents. Everything still worked. He's still driving it, it had 205k when I sold it.

The 4th Generation Accords (1990-93) were the best ever built. I had a 92 5spd coupe, it was awesome, reliable, economical, and most importantly fun to drive. I wish I had kept it.

Same. Ran on 3 cylinders for a year plus. Couldn't get her to pass smog, so I had a friend's mechanic (30+ years experience) look at it. He said that, I believe it was cylinder 4, had no compression and he said that he would be surprised if it made it out of the driveway. When my friend told him the above, his eyes went wide 😂 drove it till I couldn't anymore and sold her (and it was still running)

I still have my 1992 Accord. I got it new at the end of 1992 when I was in college. I still only have about 80,000 miles on it, as I have it garaged. I can't believe I've had it so many years. I think it may outlive me!

Get in contact with Honda. If you’ve been a loyal customer to them they may end up wanting to lease it from you for publicity purposes. The Japanese automakers really do love things like this, and often do their best to take care of customers. My mom has been a Toyota driver since the mid 90’s, and on her most recent Camry she ended up getting some money back as a “loyalty incentive”. Toyota literally tracked her purchases across multiple states and when she went for her fourth Camry they basically made her first four payments for her.

Old cars compared to newer cars is like comparing source material to a Netflix adaptation. Back when they cared about what their customers were getting and didn't pump out new bullshit on the daily that can be manufactured for a fraction of their asking price. Cars are a representation of how the world is going to shit.

I have a '97 Prelude. 252,000 miles on it. Still starts and drives like a champ. I think the car lived in the desert for 20 years because while the paint is deep fried, the car has no rust on the body or frame. The interior is in pretty good shape too. All it does is leak oil. It's a 90s Honda. If it's not burning or leaking a little oil, it probably doesn't have any oil lol
