As Christians, worship is an important aspect of our faith. It allows us to connect with God and express our love and adoration for Him. However, not all worship music is created equal. In this video, we'll be discussing worship music that Christians should avoid.
We'll start by examining the lyrics of certain songs that may contain false or misleading theology. It's important to ensure that the songs we sing align with the truth of God's word.
We'll also touch on the dangers of singing songs that promote a prosperity gospel, which emphasizes material blessings over spiritual growth. Finally, we will discuss what it truly means to worship God in spirit and in truth.

So we’re taking scissors and snipping out all of the Psalms that involve easing the troubles of the person singing the psalm, including many of if not all of David’s. People are so much “holier” today than those we read about in scripture. It amazes me.

@@slk8674 👋 Hi No we definitely don't take away from God's Holy scriptures. My understanding is that worship is one part of our communication with God. Jesus taught the disciples to pray commencing with worship, then moving onto other aspects of prayer & praise. Worship is for God alone but other aspects (giving thanks, asking forgiveness) are to God, but also to others. It is just worship that is to God alone. We are actually told to confess our sins to one another. The lesson I am getting out of this video is "Don't be deceived, mistaking other communication with God as worship when it is not. Worship God first & foremost then move to other things 🙏 ".

@@wendylang2360 Thank you! I appreciate someone gets it. As far as this video, he’s seeding some things and leaving people (as seen in the comments) to become false witnesses against the Body of Christ and the way we seek after God. And I believe me bringing my “me stuff” to God is still worshiping God. I could bring it to secular radio, to the club, to my friends. But I bring it to Him and He loves that I keep coming back to Him with everything. This video is teaching partitions between us and our Heavenly Father in other areas of our lives. He deserves to be part of every single aspect of this human experience He’s given to me. Without ceasing. I believe your takeaway is from Godly wisdom that you’ve received through hard-fought seeking, and not this video.

My son who was worked on by paramedics (who tried to revive him) and then taken to the hospital, had no heartbeat or breathing for over 90 minutes, He was given an official time of death by a Doctor. My wife and I nelt by his trolley, and simply asked for him to come back and live in the name of Jesus, and God breathed life into him and he was alive. That was 18 years ago. God does still do miracles, all we did was ask in the name of Jesus, with the faith God has graciously gifted us. Praise and thank you Jesus our Lord and our God.

@giginoelle129 24 күн бұрын
Authority comes from Christ. I believe this to be true that we can speak the goodness of God, we can speak God's word and when it aligns with the Father's will- miracles can and do happen! Our words create because we are not only made in the image of God, but, Christ himself tells us that he has given us authority to do works even greater. Check out the gospel of Mark. Science even proves this to be true- see the work of Masaru Emoto- The Hidden Messages in Water. I completely disagree with this guy's criticisms of this particular song and lyrics. Satan wants God's children to believe we have no authority as such we are weak and powerless- just where he wants us.

Too Good to Not Believe is a song written so ppl will be reminded of the things that God's done in their lives. Have the song writers themselves seen cancer disappear? Seen bodies healed? Mental health restored? Real life resurrection? I don't know but I can tell you that I have and when I sing those words they mean something to me. They remind me of the goodness of God and they encourage others to seek God. I'm a very affectionate father towards my kids, something I didn't have growing up. My kids will just come and lay in my lap or lay in my arms just out of nowhere and for no reason and I'll hold them. I didn't have that growing up and to think that I have a Father that I can be that way with isn't "uncomfortable" or off-putting, it's wonderful. "Lean back in the loving arms of a beautiful father Breath deep and know that he is good, he's a love like no other" For the most part, the only thing I agreed with in this whole video was when you were reading from the word. And I'll agree with you that there are some very shaky "christian" songs when it comes to biblical foundation, but you didn't mention any of them here. I mean you quoted the bridge of Champion but neglected the God-centered chorus: "YOU are my Champion Giants fall when YOU stand undefeated, every battle YOU'VE won. I am who YOU say I am YOU crown me with confidence I am seated in the heavenly place Undefeated with the One who has conquered it all" See how the first half of the chorus sets up who God is and then who we are in him. Again, this is how we are reminded of WHO God is in our lives and then WHO we are in Him. Humans have a very short memory and no matter what God has does for us in our lives, we tend to forget that the next time something comes along that rattles us. That's why we write songs like these to say God is all these things. Because He is and because of what He's promised, we know that we are what He's said we are and we have what He's said we have. It's not man-centered. If my kid comes to me and says "daddy will you spend time me? I want to play with you." Is he being self-centered? "Dad I feel great when we play together!" Is that self-centeredness. When my kids say things like that to me, I feel elated. When my wife says to me, "I'm so glad I married you" I don't think of that as being a "she-centered" comment. I love it. When we say, "God, I love being in your presence. Your presence changes me. Your presence makes my calms my chaos. I need you. I want to spend more time with you." I don't think God says, "Jeez what a self-centered person they are". I think He loves it. I'm not trying to be confrontational here but I think you're missing it.

Later 12 disciples stayed with Jesus but the healing instantly and raising the dead was still only for the apostles. So you’re telling me and others on here, you actually met people who were raised from the dead? I don’t believe you. There are no apostles today.

THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "is a great last day that He will save man" "Spreading the Gospel is also the work of the Salvation of Man". ... (In this last age My name will be taken to the Gentile nations. I will make everyone know that I Am not only the God of users, but also the God of the nations of the Gentiles, even My cursed: I will let all people see that I Am the God of entire creation. I have revealed to man all My mysteries that have been hidden over 5900 years. Who is Jehovah? Who is Messiah? Who is Jesus? Dear brothers and sister, what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for God to appear?) Almighty God said ALL PEOPLE are ASSOCIATED with a PURPOSE of My WORK on EARTH, that is, the ULTIMATE purpose of My WORK and what LEVEL I must ACHIEVE in this WORK BEFORE it CAN be COMPLETED. When they HAVE BEEN with Me to this DAY, PEOPLE STILL do not RELATE what My WORK is ABOUT, OTHERWISE YOU are MEANINGLESS for them to BE WITH ME? PEOPLE who FOLLOW Me CAN KNOW My WILL. 🙏 I HAVE been DOING My WORK in the WORLD for THOUSANDS of YEARS, and TO this DAY I Am STILL DOING My WORK for it. ALTHOUGH there are MANY EXTRAORDINARY things INCLUDED in My WORK, the PURPOSE of this WORK has not been ACCEPTED to CHANGE, just as an EXAMPLE even though I AM FULL of JUDGMENT and PUNISHMENT of MAN, I Am DOING for the SAKE of the BETTER CARRYING out My TRANSFORMATION and FURTHER EXPANDING My WORK to ALL the GENTILE NATIONS, when have ONE PERSON is FULLY made. So NOW, at a TIME when MANY PEOPLE have LONG BEEN GREATLY DISAPPOINTED in their HOPES that I Am STILL CONTINUING in My WORK, CONTINUING in My WORK that I MUST do JUDGE and PUNISH the MAN. ☀️ Despite the fact that man is not told what I say and despite the fact that he has no desire to devote Myself to My work, I Am still CARRYING out My DUTY, COMMUNICATING the PURPOSE of My UNFINISHED WORK that will change and My original plan will not be destroyed. The DUTY of My JUDGMENT WILL ENABLE the PERSON to be GOOD and FOLLOW Me, and the DUTY of My PUNISHMENT WILL ENABLE the PERSON to CHANGE more EFFECTIVELY. ☀️ Although I do what I do for the sake of My rule, I do not get a little thing that has become useless to man. That's because I WANTED to MAKE ALL the COUNTRIES OUTSIDE of ISRAEL as OBEDIENT as the USERS, and MAKE them REAL PEOPLE so that I COULD MAKE LANDS OUTSIDE ISRAEL. This is My GOVERNMENT, 'This is the WORK I DO in the GENTILE COUNTRIES. Even today, many people are still not associated with My rule, because they have no interest in these things, but only care about their own futures and destinies. NO MATTER WHAT I SAY, PEOPLE STILL DON'T CARE ABOUT the WORK I DO, INSTEAD of just, just FOCUSING on their END in this WAY, HOW to EXPAND My WORK in the FUTURE. HOW CAN I REPORT My REPORT to the WORLD? YOU SHOULD KNOW, that WHEN My WORK EXPANDS, I WILL SPREAD YOU, and I WILL DESTROY YOU, just as JEHOVAH DESTROYED a TRIBE of ISRAEL. ☀️ All this will be used for My use throughout the world, and SPREAD My WORK AMONG the GENTILE NATIONS, so that My NAME may BE GLORIFIED by BOTH OLD and CHILDREN, and My HOLY NAME be GLORIFIED by the MOUTHS of PEOPLE from ALL TRIBES and NATIONS. In this LAST AGE, My NAME WILL be TAKEN to the GENTILE NATIONS, cause the GENTILES to SEE My WORKS, that I use My PROMISE to the ALMIGHTY because of My WORKS, and MAKE IT My WORD may SOON COME TRUE. I WILL MAKE EVERYONE KNOW that I AM NOT ONLY the GOD of USERS, but ALSO the GOD of ALL the NATIONS of the GENTILES, even My CURSED: I WILL LET ALL PEOPLE SEE that I AM the GOD of ENTIRE CREATION. 🙏 This is My GREATEST WORK, the PURPOSE of My WORK PLAN for the LAST DAYS, and the ONLY WORK that must be FULFILLED in the LAST DAYS. 🙏 The WORK I have MANAGED for THOUSANDS of YEARS is PERFECTLY LIVING in ONLY ONE PERSON in the LAST DAYS. Just NOW I HAVE OPENED the ENTIRE MYSTERY of My MANAGEMENT to MAN. Man KNOWS the PURPOSE of My WORK and MOREOVER has UNDERSTOOD ALL My MYSTERIES. And I TOLD the man EVERYTHING about the FATE he was WORRIED ABOUT. I HAVE REVEALED to MAN ALL My MYSTERIES that HAVE BEEN HIDDEN OVER 5900 YEARS. ☀️ WHO is JEHOVAH? WHO is the MESSIAH? WHO is JESUS? YOU SHOULD KNOW ALL THIS. My Work REVOLVES AROUND these NAMES. 💫🙏 DO YOU UNDERSTAND THAT? HOW SHOULD My HOLY NAME be PROCLAIMED? HOW SHOULD My NAME be MADE of ANY of the NATIONS that CALL ME by ANY of My NAMES? My work is expanding and I will spread its entirety to any and all nations. Because My WORK has BEEN DONE on YOU, I WILL DESTROY you 6000 YEARS of GOD'S GOVERNMENT PLAN is NEAR the END, and the GATE of the KINGDOM has BEEN OPENED for ALL THOSE WHO SEEK His REVENUE. 🙏😪 Dear BROTHERS and SISTERS, what are you waiting for? WHAT are YOU LOOKING FOR? ARE YOU WAITING for GOD to APPEAR? ARE YOU LOOKING for His FOOTSTEPS? WHAT a LONGING for GOD'S REVELATION! And how difficult it is to find God's footsteps! In an age like today, in a world like this, what must we do to witness the day of God's revelation? What must we do to follow in God's footsteps? 🙏 From "The WORD Appears in the Flesh". holy book Fulfilled in "In the beginning He was the Word, the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). ... and "When I looked up, someone handed me a book wrapped in a scroll. I opened it and I read on both sides the prayers, lamentations, and curses." (Ezekiel 2:9-10). ... "His garment was stained with blood. He was called the "Word of God" (Rev. 19:13). "They say with a loud voice, "Salvation comes from the Lamb, and from our God who sits on the Throne!" (Rev. 7:10). ... "But you are a chosen race, a company of royal priests, a a nation dedicated to God, a people belonging to God to declare the wonderful things he has done. He is the one who calls you out of darkness into wonderful light." (1 Peter 2:9). ... and fulfillment that it will be built above the sky/KZfaq in (Isaiah 2:2) "In the Last Day, the mountain on which Jehovah's temple stands will stand out above all the mountains. All nations will flock there. " 📩 🥀 📨(And He said that He hid it for 5,900 years but now He has revealed it all now, and His Plan is only for 6,000 years so the end of this old and dirty world is near, and the New world will come! What I’ve learned about worship songs or any other Christian songs is that, regardless if the original song is man centered or not, it is up to us to shift the focus of that song. You can totally shift the focus of that song from self centered to God Centered. All about how you perceive it and your genuineness towards your gratefulness.

"Too Good To Not Believe" - My little girl was diagnosed with Leukaemia at age 6. Jesus HEALED her completely, she is now a healthy and lively 13 year old.... so, "Don't you tell me HE can't do it"!! I feel sorry for Christians who are "doubtful" and suspicious when God does miracles today - it insinuates that He only performed miracles back in bible times and so we should be cautious about miracles or songs / worship proclaiming His miraculous works (as if He couldn't possibly do them today) 🙏✝️

Yes, and without testimony how can we know God, it was through testimony of Moses, Abraham, Hannah, Noah, etc that we learned the power of God and they also sang praises to God. So I don't see anything wrong when we praise God mentioning what he has done and continues to do in our lives. A Testimony of someone can pull someone else closer to God, and these talented singers use their testimonies to spread the wonders of God to help others come experience God for themselves

Hillsong, Elevation, Tomlin, Redmond, Elevation......not wholesome, full blown occult. They practice necromancy, laying on graves to invoke spirit, Kundalini seizures, trying to raise the dead in the power of demons (BethHell). BethHELL's avatar is the Norse horned god which has alwasy and still is a symbol for SATAN. Santa AKA Satan and his reindeer/horned gods come to your fireplace (hell) and give your coal (brimstone). Wake up! The words of that song are SATANIC Manifestation, not a miracle of Jesus. I used to be in the occult so easily recognize the occult. Go check out the words of Too good to not believe: "Of that precious boy who we sung over This precious girl sung over And this boy comes back to life He was breathless, now he's back to life He's living, he's breathing, because of resurrection power" Notice it doesn't say because of Jesus. now go duckduckgo search up this Satanic crap they tried to pull with supposedly resurrecting a child from the dead. That Bethhellhole place of demons is full of Kundalini seizure, weird sex stuff, demonic spirits.

I was having this conversation with my bf. He prefers hymnals where they basically sing scripture. I think that is great if that is what helps him to connect and feel his presence while worshipping. Not that I don't like them, but I LOVE testimonial songs because I know what God has done for me and what He continues to do for me. As someone who leads worship regularly at church, I really appreciate Allen’s emphasis on the necessity of the local church singing God-centered songs. Matt Redman talks about the importance of both songs that teach who God is as well as response songs. I think it’s healthy to start with songs that focus on teaching theology and then give people an opportunity to respond with songs of personal expressions of praise. The importance is having a balance; theologically weighty enough for people to learn who God is and what He’s done, but also personal enough that it’s not just head knowledge and people can worship God from the heart.

I have a problem with Mr Redman who quite happily joins himself with Bethel church and sings with them. Bethel's theology is all wrong and if the Apostle Paul were here today he might be quoting Galatians 1 to Mr Redman. I think there's a serious lack of discernment on Matt Redman's behalf.

This is very true... I am not a worship leader, but I am a worshipper... while I do believe the church as a whole does need to focus on worshipping Jesus alone, the Bible also says that David encouraged himself... how? He remembered the promises... someone in the comments said some songs aren't "congregational," which at first I thought was a valid point. HOWEVER, the church building is open to ALL people. Some don't have quiet time with the Lord... some are struggling when they walk into the sanctuary... they need encouragement and don't know how to do it themselves. So yes, while worship IS to Jesus, I believe the mature church should be doing this during the week in our quiet place... as worship leaders, I believe they are put on a platform to minister to the people, as unto God. The same as pastors, teachers, prophets, etc... their gifts are for the edification of the PEOPLE. Again, don't misunderstand what I am trying to say. I am by no means saying worship is for the people... please understand my heart. If the leaders do not show them HOW to worship, then how will they know? In my earlier years of struggling, so many times all it took was a song that expressed God's love for ME and how He sees ME that would cause me to break down and ultimately open my heart to the Lord... and THEN there came the grateful heart for all that He is, which lead to a heart of worship. So... again, I do agree there should be a balance; perhaps more leaning towards exclusive worship and some of promises and declarations... just my thoughts.

Why was the name Yahuah taken out of the scriptures over 7000x? It’s simple- so that you wouldn’t know it. For “everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be saved.” Romiyim (Romans)‬ 10:13‬‬ ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה shall be saved.’ Ma`asei (Acts)‬ 2:21‬‬ Pour out Your wrath on the nations Who have not known You, And on reigns that have not called on Your Name. Tehillim (Psalms)‬ 79:6‬‬ Help us, O Elohim of our deliverance, For the sake of the esteem of Your Name. And deliver us, and cover over our sins, For Your Name’s sake! Tehillim (Psalms)‬ 79:9‬‬ I can keep posting scripture about how Important Yahuah and Yahusha Ha Mashiac name is. you see those who don’t call a this name is cursed, those who call there is salvation and deliverance and blessings. Name in Hebrew is shêm, shame; a primitive word [perhaps rather from H7760 through the idea of definite and conspicuous position; compare H8064]; an appellation, as a mark or memorial of individuality; by implication honor, authority, character:-+ base, (in-) fame(-ous), named(-d), renown, report. a name is a Mark, authority, and character of a person. The reason this is important because Yahuahs name encompasses his whole character through the scriptures. And a different name encompasses another character. Another Mark if you will. lord, god and jesus are not innocent translations. in TS 2009 ISR explanatory notes it explains making these changes transgresses the command not to bring Yahuahs name to naught, and not to add to the Word, and not to have another mighty one against Yahuahs face. -the name lord can be traced to the Roman house-diety , and further back to the name of an Etruscan sovereign, Larth. In antiquity sovereigns were -the name god developed from a Germanic god wodenaz-gudenaz-guden-god. -the name jesus can be traced to the diety of healing in Greek culture. iasous a female healing diety. look at the scripture below the Greeks likened there deity’s to the Hebrews when they saw the power at work. And when the crowds saw what Sha’ul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in Lukaonian, “The mighty ones have become like men and come down to us!” And they called Barnaḇa Zeus, and Sha’ul Hermes, since he was the chief speaker. And the priest of Zeus, being in front of their city, brought oxen and wreaths to the gates, and wished to offer with the crowds. And when the emissaries Barnaḇa and Sha’ul heard this, they tore their garments and ran in among the crowd, crying out Ma`asei (Acts)‬ 14:11-14‬‬ I pray this information helps you as you seek the truth and continue to research these matters.

When I hear the words "When I open up my mouth, miracles start breaking out". The first thing I think of is that I am never witnessing in my own power, and when I lay hands on somebody, it is not in my own power. I am simply following Jesus and making myself available for Him to work through me. If a person is to get saved by accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, that is a miracle, but it was not in my power, I just made myself available for Jesus to use me where for what he wants to accomplish. Whether it is just showing somebody the Love of Jesus, witnessing, teaching, or calling for healing (spiritual, or physical) it has nothing to do with me and everything to do with God. I don't even want anybody to thank me for anything that Jesus does, I just want to follow what my Lord has commanded of me. To go out into the world spreading the Good News. Matthew 28:19-20 / Acts 13:47 / John 20:21 / Matthew 10:8 So when I hear "When I open up my mouth, miracles start breaking out" is often seen, but not in my power and I want no credit. It is my way of showing Jesus that He is my Lord, by following what he says to do. How can we prove we love Jesus, trust in Him, believe in Him, have faith in Him? By obeying Him. If the writers of the song were trying to get me to follow a false teaching, then it will not work with that verse on me, because I understand it to mean that when I obey Jesus miracles can happen. When we as a nation call Jesus our Lord, then we can receive His blessings and miracles will happen. It is a little concerning that you are uncomfortable with asking to be closer with Jesus. I do not hear them saying "Jesus is my boyfriend". Those are your words and thoughts when you hear those words, but those are not the words they say in the song. To be closer with Him and to spend time with Him should be desired. To claim and tell others that you fear this kind of talk is a bit concerning. It appears as though you are looking through the lens of this world, instead of seeing it through the eyes of God. The more time we spend with somebody and the closer we are to them, then we will see their heart better and who they truly are. If you want to know God's heart better, then spend more time with Him and seek a closer relationship. Don't try and perverse these things in your mind (or put those thoughts into new Christians minds).

I agree. This person seems extremely judgmental to me. God can use ANYTHING to minister to us. Even if a song is unbiblically correct and somebody gives their lives to Jesus during that song, then it was used for gods glory. I feel like you can’t fake Christianity. Once you have his spirit, it’s in you. Once a seed is planted it’s there. You can still struggle in sin but I believe once a spiritual seed is in you it’s in you

@@user-eu3sg9vx7q It is impossible for a song to be unbiblical and to be for the glory of God. If this man is also extremely judgmental, you are a very easy-going person. In my church, if someone hears you say that you can praise God with something unbiblical, you are put aside and you are not allowed to serve until you repent. It seems right to me... what you said is blasphemy. According to you, the end justifies the means. I can sleep with a divorced woman and if I preach Jesus Christ it will be for the glory of God... what a stupid mentality you can have... I remember Michael W. Smith had a period where he leaned towards man centered music. Another artist, Wayne Watson, called him out on it and it hurt their friendship for a while. That song is also "man-centered" because it's about him coming back...but it's not a real "worship" song. It's a testimony in music. I think we need to be able to tell the difference and that not all music or song lyrics sung in worship are actual "worship songs" and that's ok because your testimonies are also in spirit and truth. I do not believe that praise and worship needs to be all one way. People putting out how Jesus makes them feel IS praising Him for it. Just because we tell a story, doesn't make it unworthy of being called worship or praise. Granted, some stuff IS questionable, but some is not. You have to see the perspective and meaning behind the song.

Other than verses like John 3:16 almost every "promise" given in the Bible was given to one person or group not to everyone. If they were then why not claim the Abrahamic covenant and claim God is going to create a whole nation under your lineage. Even the "Great Commission" wasn't given to all. Otherwise why hasn't all Christians quit their jobs and gone out all over the world. We are called individually to do what God requires of us. No one can control God!

ABSOLUTELY. My mother was a missionary-linguist with Wycliffe Bible Translators for 43 yrs in an indigenous village in Mexico. One evening at sunset she and her linguistic lady partner took an evening walk past the outskirts of the village. As the returned they encountered a very large group of people carrying stones, machetes, large sticks etc. The group opened up and passed through quietly greeting them. Years later as the people grew to trust and love them several people related that THEY, themselves, were with that large group AND HAD COME TO KILL THEM. My mother asked, "Well, WHY DIDN'T YOU? It was just Estersita and I." To which they replied with arms raised up on high, "OH, NO, Señora. We COULDN'T. There were two HUGE FAIR-HAIRED men walking with you!" "And He SHALL give His angels charge over thee to keep thee in ALL thy ways..." Ps 91 However, this is contingent upon us "DWELLING in the secret (sacred) place of the MOST high." - " "keeping our hearts and minds stayed on HIM." Also Psalm 1:1,2

Praying to dead people and worshiping idols and worshiping human beings like Mary before even worshiping Jesus are dangerous practices. Having some one else do our repenting for us and confessing to a human being and not God of our sins is dangerous. Thinking specific prayers or readings are required to be forgiven for our sins is unbiblical also. Confession keeps us from repenting to God ourselves and prevents us from being humbled before God. One could just as easily say fruit is fruit. What's the big deal about not eating from that particular tree. Every thing has a source and that source is either light or darkness. Music is not just music. Think again. Some music are God inspired and some are not. I hardly believe if you are a christian you'd be listening to heavy metal for example because it obviously is not God inspired. The mistake that many make however which is what Allen is alluding to is that one has to discern. Just because the music sounds good and the lyrics might be catchy doesn't mean it is inspired music. When I was at my lowest point, during much tribulation, Fall of 2021, that's when I grew the closest to God, and decided to start walking in faith and in the Spirit as I only had Jesus to hold on to at that point in my life. Nothing else. And I discovered that song and it helped me step out in faith, and pray for people, and see miracles take place in real life! Preaching on the mic and sharing my testimony on mic downtown Montreal, praying for people on the streets from Montreal to Toronto and then later on Dubai. Seeing demons cast out, and bodies healed. Even my body healed! I would say, for me there's nothing wrong with those lyrics at all. All of those things are possible through Jesus. (not here for any arguments for those in the comment). God bless you all!

Yep! Many of us actually have seen cancer healed etc right in front of our eyes. This song is a declaration of faith bc of what we have seen Jesus do, not “word of faith”. It’s very easy to boomerang to the Baptist thinking bc of goofballs like Copeland, et al - and that’s a shame. They are missing out on seeing what the Holy Spirit will do when we have faith and ask. Jesus said, “tell this mountain to move!”

@@melaniem4070 Judging and using curse words against a person and a brother who is preaching Salvation through accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior who dies on the Cross to pay for our sins that we may be saved by believing in him is something we should be very careful of. Are people getting saved at Copland's services? Yes they are. Do we have any perfect pastors or teachers in any Church who never sin or make a mistake? Calling names and Judging hearts is something we are told never to do. Gossiping about someone behind their backs is as sinful as murder the Bible tells us. Even if a brother is wrong we should never speak cruel words against them or petition our hearts against them. The devil wants to see us be prideful and demand perfection and works based salvation being taught when it is faith based. I am concerned for you as I do not think you see the danger and spiritual attacks you open yourself to when name calling others. It is not Gods character to do this and we are to try to be more like Jesus. If that brother is wrong the Bible tells us to go to them with love in our concerns and if they do not listen to bring another till they see it. Talking about them to other people is giving oneself permission to disobey God and have unforgiveness in our hearts.

@@paulmerritt2484 Where in the bible does it say we can't judge? We should judge righteously and rebuke wrong doing as long as we are not doing exactly what we speak out against otherwise that would make us hypocrites.

This is why I only listen to older hymns and songs of praise. I'm far less likely to come across something that might be questionable. "Nearer My God to Thee" and "Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing" are two of my favorites.

I enjoy “Come Thy Fount.” But does it pass Allen’s “Not man-centered” test? It’s filled with me/my. Tune my heart Teach me I'm fixed upon it Here I raise my Ebenezer I've come And I hope Jesus sought me He to rescue me I shall see How I'll sing Come my Lord, Take my ransomed soul away Send Thine angels now to carry Me Daily I'm constrained Bind my wandering heart Lord I feel it Prone to leave the God I love Here's my heart

Yes. We should select carefully what we hear and what we want to sing. Or for the musician, to focusing all the music and song only to praise and worship GOD. GOD be the center of our song.

She is not avoiding the topic of her sin and just started taking about where to worship. Remember that the whole conversation may not be explicit in the scripture, but for sure she was one of the person that introduce the gospel to Samaria. She was confronted with her sin, she repents and the next after receiving forgiveness is to worship God. That's why she is asking where is the place is to do it right.
