I’m a licensed esthetician and Bubs did a great job at explaining what the ingredients do, what they’re used for, how to use them, and she did finally talk about SPF! I was waiting for her to say it! Haha but SPF is SO important. It is just as important as retinol, vit c, acids etc. I wanted to expand on the importance of SPF. SPF in makeup is not good enough! You need to be using a separate SPF 30 or higher. It needs to be 30 or higher and it needs to be reapplied every two hours or so. Retinol should only be used at night as it makes the skin very susceptible to sun damage during the day. Do Retinol at night and vit c with spf in the day! SPF needs to be worn rain or shine! In the summer and WINTER! If there’s a shadow, there is sun! The sun is the NUMBER 1 extrinsic aging factor, so limit your sun exposure and wear sunscreen 🧴 Bubs you’re awesome and explained everything so well! Keep it up girl.

You can use Vit C and glycolic acid (AHA) together, no harm at all. Only thing you cannot use together benzoyl peroxide and retinol.

One thing to note about retinol is that it makes your skin sensitive to the sun, so use your retinol at night and not in the day!

Really interesting to see what you use on your skin. I use Alpha h Liquid Gold which is glycolic acid and I love vit c serums. I always use a factor 50 moisturiser as well. Your skin is absolutely beautiful💕

Bubz, you’re good to use vitamin C and retinol together. Use a vitamin C in the morning and apply an SPF after, and use retinol and glycolic at night ❤️

If you have young or sensitive skin, I do NOT recommend using glycolic acid or any kind of acid on your skin!!! Bubz is right about it helping older and less sensitive skin, however, I recently used a cleanser with a kind of acid in it and I got a really itchy, red, and painful rash-like irritation. Thankfully it only lasted a few days, but I don't want anyone else going through that! (Love you, Bubz!)

Retinol is soooo good at fighting and healing acne! My dermatologist prescribed it to me and my skin has never been better

Hey Bubz! About the hyaluronic acid and Vitamin C... It is true that it is in a way a sponge and does attract water! It will definitely help your skin stay moisturised if you apply when it's humid outside or if you apply it with a cream on top. However, please keep in mind that if you apply it and it's really dry outside or really sunny or you simply forget to apply a moisturiser on top, then it will attract water from within your skin. In other words it will leave your skin even more dehydrated than before. Be careful with it even though it seems like a very safe product. And then about the Vitamin C. Now I am not an expert in the particular product that you are using but every Vitamin C serum i have personally used and read about shall not be used without proper sun protection. It can in very rare cases cause quite bad sunburn. Ascorbic Acid (vitamin C) is a very weak acid but it's still an acid. But then again, I am no expect. I only with you the best for your skin and i am speaking from both my education and personal experience with it. Take care of yourself, Bubz!
