I have traveled down to Melbourne Florida with Dusty Hayes to meet up with Caleb Couture and do some surf fishing on the beach. Our main goal this trip is to locate a big permit off the beach. This is day one of our journey!

Really glad you got a sponsor from fishbites. They owe you. I am in New Orleans and wanted some after watching you. Couldn't find them here and had to order them. I have to say I don't think they work as good as live bait, but they do work. Everyone should have a couple bags in their bag. I thought the flavor was a bunch of crap, BUT I fish canals which do not have and flea's and I have never caught a fish on the sand flea flavor here and I take them to the beach and catch fish on them, also I get more Black Drum on the crab flavor so I am sold on the fact they are flavored.

About 12:50 in. “Can’t keep bait in the water!” Great problem to have when it’s not caused by pinfish, croakers, or hardheads. It’s also nice when it’s not so cold that you can’t move your fingers to rebait.

With my fishbites I cut them in to small squares the last longer and make for a way better quantity in my opinion, I tend to put one square on top hook n use the other hooks for live sandfleas and one rod I’ll use complete fishbites I usually take clam , sandflea and shrimp fishbites

Ive caught permit, cat fish, pompano, and whitings with fish bites. You're almost guaranteed to catch a fish using fish bites. I back this product up!

Ok. As we talked about last week I went to honeymoon island. Went to where I would think the pomps would be. Caught 1 whitening and i don't know 30 catfish. Been there about 3 hr when some oldtimer rolls by telling me the pomps were thick yesterday. Story of my life. I will do this again. Had a great day with the wife and kids. Everyone seems to bet on how far I can chuck bait. They don't know I am spanning bait out. I am not going to tell them because I got my daughter to do the dishes with one cast. Booyeah.

Bama Beach Bum, if you make it over to St Augustine way.. ill haul our stuff on the beach, 4WD makes it a little easier

you need to use 6 foot medium-light action rods. Cast in the wash. Pompano run parallel to the beach right in the wash catching sand fleas that are stirred up by the waves. 1/2 ounce weight at the most.
