@markmccammon2664 ай бұрын
@@XJarhead360 I was a radio operator for 4 years. Served 18 months in Philippines during the worst time of the Vietnam war. Back then all military personnel were together. It was no picnic. I turned 14 on August 9th 1964. At this time in Auckland New Zealand, households would gravitate to a neighbour's home to watch television. I lived in a ' cul de sac ' of there were 12 homes of which only one with a TV set! The nighttime viewing turned on at 6 pm and turn off at 12 midnight. People who could, managed to place themselves in front of a TV set. The television pictures were then only in ' black and white ' viewing. The Seekers were an Australian successful ' folk-ish ' pop group. I am not wrong in believing every person in New Zealand not a ' fan ' of The Seekers. The country had the majority of its music content from ' the mother country '. The USA and Australia had an equal 2nd whilst NZ a distant third in the music output and choice. To our cousins across the ditch " Oi,Oi,Oi ". fish...
