'THE SEEKERS: LIVE IN THE UK' - Interview with Keith Potger

Four months after the sold-out success of The Seekers’ Golden Jubilee ‘Farewell’ Tour of Australia in late 2013, the group and their team reconvened to do it all again in the United Kingdom in 2014, winding their way through Wales, Scotland and England with a 15-date sold-out tour. When Judith Durham, Athol Guy, Keith Potger and Bruce Woodley took to the stage for the last time, the audience was on its feet clapping and cheering for several minutes before they even sang a note. Far from any sense of sadness or regret, the mood on this tour was one of celebration and appreciation, both for the group and their loyal fans. This historic album marks the final time that Australian music phenomenon The Seekers toured in the country where their global success story began.
The Seekers Live in the UK is available on CD & DVD. The DVD also contains a never-before-seen 30-min interview with all four members of The Seekers, reminiscing about their hit songs and previous tours around the world.

🇭🇲🦘 My husband and I have a cassette (yes a cassette) that we used to always play and listen to whilst driving distances, in the car. From memory, I think it was you all in London at "The Talk of the Town" but I might have that title wrong. We loved it though, very much. cont... We can't listen to it anymore (in the car) as our car doesn't have a cassette player. I/we have many of your records, cassettes, CD's and DVD's etc. - but that particular cassette remains our favourite. cont... WHY? .. Due to all of the 'fun' and 'banter' we could hear and see (in our minds eye) as we listened. It was Judith's birthday and the audience/public all joined with you 'boys' in singing Happy Birthday to Judith. You boys then joked that it wasn't her birthday at all (but it was) and Judith gave a short 'thank you' speech to you all (all - being you boys and the audience). cont.. The beautiful and wonderful music of The Seekers is a joy to behold. I will never cease loving hearing your music. cont.. BUT this cassette is 'our Treasure'. It remains a JOY to listen to and such fun and we remain huge fans of you All - THE SEEKERS. "Thank you" for this interview Keith 💕 🎶

Enjoyed the beers you, my housemates, and I sipped after your great October 1967 concert at my university's homecoming. I was the entertainment chairman and have always thought we made the best choice!

My parents had an old Cadillac back in the late '60s with a 4 track car stereo and a tape of the Seekers among others, and I really enjoyed them then. I bought a cassette tape of them years later while living in England, and over the years bought several more albums on records and CDs, and my daughters also have loved them as well. Truly a musical group for all generations and cultures, I can't think of any other musical group as versatile as the Seekers! I'm truly grateful to them for all the fabulous wonderful music they've produced. Thank you! 😘

I'm Brazilian and some time ago I decided to research and discovered the story of the seekers....did anyone at the time ever think that the musician Athol was similar to the singer Buddy Holly?

Saudações do Brasil! Eu gosto muito do som dos The Seekers, mas infelizmente não estou conseguindo encontrar mais informações sobre o grupo, como por exemplo: se eles se casaram ou tiveram filhos, se a Judith e o Athol tiveram um namoro ou não, como foi largar suas vidas e empregos para ir de navio para Londres, como se deu o retorno da banda depois de 1968, e outras histórias de bastidores.
