A Phoenix woman was forced to vacate her apartment and is now searching for answers after random men began showing up at her door unannounced and trying to gain entry to her home. Deonna Chewning claims that not only were these men showing up with the expectations of sex, but her address had been shared on an anonymous gay hookup app called “Sniffies.” Despite reaching out to her apartment complex and the police for help Chewning claims the issue only got worse. You need to contact the OWNERS of the complex, not just the property management team! Send emails with sent and read receipts and ask for a response within 24-72 hours. Then, indicate if they don't respond, you will send the same correspondence to both the property management team AND the OWNERS. Never, and I mean NEVER communicate verbally and if forced to, back it up with an email! She was right to contact the police BUT the property management team's response was BS, vague, and full of blanket statements! The last thing she needs to do is ALSO get a cam for inside her unit facing the door and front room and CONTACT AN ATTORNEY NON STOP TILL SHE FINDS ONE!

...I agree. Something just doesn't add up the way the management company responded to her situation. I almost believe they are the ones who wanted her out for whatever reason. Great idea to get an inside camera as well. She also should not have had to pay to break the lease IMO.

Spiteful and bitter behaviour to this extent is always very close to home - someone she’s friends with, very recently fallen out or a neighbour. This is alot of effort to do, if she was messing with someone man that person would’ve done this as an isolated instance and moved on. When something like this is continuing it’s usually because someone is taking pride watching what happens to her.

That's what I was thinking. If my rented residence was no longer habitable (safe) I can't stay. It shouldn't be a ding on me when I go find a place that is safe. It seems to me that would be the smart thing to do and a judge would advise such actions. But, I'm not a lawyer. There are tons of stupid laws that don't make sense. I haven't read her lease.

@@kysfinest Ok try this....AT&T sells you a phone, you love the phone. It's nice and does all the cool stuff, has a great camera the speakers are fantastic, and tons of memory, super fast processor all the goodies right ,....... but every time you push a button you get electrocuted. I think you should be able to return the phone and get your money back because it's not safe. It's still a phone and could be fixed but you can't use it the way you intended when you bought it.

@@kysfinest Because it is a common law nationwide in America that if the apartment is deemed unsafe (in her case it is and solid proof provided) she can break her lease without consequences. I worked in courthouse (judicial dept) and was assigned to landlord and tenant cases.

I am in nature a friendly person. I have no known enemies. I treat people right because that’s how I was raised. I opened the door thinking I live in a “secure” building but I was wrong. Had I not gotten the details and asked questions I wouldn’t have gotten the info I did. It was important to me to know what I am reporting when I called the police. Thankfully I’m safe and unharmed

@@MizdeeLiving I am wondering if you reviewed your lease thoroughly. There should be something in there that will allow you to break your lease for this type of situation. And of course if you’re able to break your lease you should not have to pay the penalties. I would take the complex to court you have WAY TOO much proof that the apartment is deemed unsafe for you.

This woman, her attorney, and the police should be so well acquainted with the Sniffies legal team by now, they should've paid the $4000 fee for this innocent woman having to break her lease, it's their responsibility! Sniffies is liable for allowing any misuse or illegal activities on their platform, especially once it has been brought to their attention. The person using her address to send random men to her home at all hours can be EASILY tracked and apprehended if Sniffies took 5 minutes to investigate the complaint.

I would say it's a neighbor if they were able to get in through 2 secure areas. Neighbors are not always your friend, just because they are nice to your face. If it were someone she knew, it would continue while at the new place of residency.

There should not be any penalty when it comes to your especially, since you made a police report that is documented and get a copy of that, and should take it to the office, I would think it would go under the either a stalking or domestic violence, which they should let you out without any penalties and without you paying anything
