Man if i had the money, i would build an exact replica of the Titanic but not as a sea worthy vessel but as a hotel and tourist destination to show people exactly what it looked like and felt like to stay aboard the vessel down to the very last detail.

She was a beautiful piece of art. So many lives lost. It’s like she patiently waited for us to find her so we could understand the lives and the stories.

For anyone on board witnessing this event, it must have been a horrific scene to see a ship of this size split itself in half. My god. What a nightmare this must've been.

I think it’s fair to say that this is the most beautiful ship to have ever been made. The craftsmanship and design is breathtaking. No modern ship looks anything like this. If I had Elon Musk money I’d recreate a replica of this ship and sell tickets for people to be on it with some modern amenities hidden into it.

The idea that people put love and beauty into their work of houses, ships and buildings of that Era shows complete creativity compared to places of this Era

She is still beautiful no matter how old she is

It’s amazing how the bow section was sinking like 30 -40 mph when it hit the sea floor, slamming with such force that the hydraulic pressure busted the bolts of a hatch and the hull was warped and yet there are these beautiful windows still intact.

I wish they brought more up before she’s gone forever I know some feel it’s disrespectful to the dead but I feel we’d actually be honoring them by putting these relics in the museum for future generations to learn and understand versus degrading at the bottom of the ocean

The preservation of the Turkish bath is stunning.

Wow I got to see this from the comfort of my home and didn't cost me 250,000 or my life! RIP to Titanic and Titans lost souls

The high level of preservation of many areas and facets of the ship after such a major catastrophe and many decades gone by is a winning testament to the superior craftsmanship and engineering of the staff at Harland & Wolff in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

In 1967 a the age of 3 years old I met one of the Titanic Survivors in my old old old neighbourhood and she told me the horrible story of the sinking of this ship and have never gone on an ocean cruise and after hearing that story I will never go on an ocean cruise like she said she did. She never went on another ship after that experience and neither will I.

The story has become so iconic, that even seeing the wreck is almost too surreal, a real tragic story. All those people looking for a new life, painfully cut short . I can't even imagine what they were feeling that night, especially those trapped below decks.

I watch this weeping, with tears falling from my cheek. I’m 54 years old, this happened over a century ago, but because 17 of my family members died on many parts of the ship you can see in this video, even though I obviously never met them, They’re my blood, they are a part of me, and their story will haunt me my entire life. Let’s not lose sight of the shot that this is in fact, sacred ground, 1500 people‘s final resting place, and I believe it should be treated and respected as such. I understand peoples curiosity, in fact, I share it, at least to a degree. Yet every time I see a video of the mangled wreckage, a little piece of me is ripped away each time. 25 of my ancestors fled Ireland, looking to start a new and better life in Canada, to join my family members that were already here in Nova Scotia. Conditions in Ireland were horrific, so they sold everything they had, managing to gather enough money to buy 25 second class tickets. My family wasn’t poor, their decision to leave was more political, then out of necessity, but they also wanted to join the family here, in Canada, assuming the odds at a more prosperous life would be better. Of the seven survivors, they can remember watching their loved ones drown before their very eyes, unable to do anything about it as they fled for their lives. Most of them died just outside the bridge. They had made it up to the deck, but by that point, all the lifeboats were gone, eight of them created a makeshift raft out of deck chairs, tying them together with string and rope, and whatever else they could find, threw it in the water, jumped on it, and waited rescue. Luckily, for them, one of the first lifeboats to go out head, almost no one aboard, and this is where it gets controversial, but all 8 family members made written testimony, which I have seen, stating that the people aboard the lifeboats took them aboard, against the will of the officer, in charge of the lifeboats, fearing it would tip the boat over. Seven of them stood there in the lifeboats, soaking wet in 0° water, watching 17 of their dearest loved ones, go beneath the waves. In their deposition, it’s plainly written that all seven could see at least two of my family members, whom they assumed had already drowned, standing next to the bridge, as the ship went down. They were sucked in an open window by the pressure of the water before she went beneath the waves, that’s the last they ever saw of them. The trauma of the event didn’t just kill 17 people in my family, it traumatized every single generation of my family since then, myself included. So why do I watch?, So I can see for myself where are my loved ones passed away. There were no bodies to bury, not one of them was ever recovered, but in the Halifax cemetery, where there is a segment, dedicated to titanic passengers that perished, we have placed a monument in their honour with all their names on it. It’s funny, perhaps odd, Howell, and/or why I had such strong feelings towards people I never met, but I actually feel love towards them. Possibly because their genes are flowing through my veins, but watching this is like watching my own personal tragedy, and I relive it over and over in my nightmares ever since I was a child. Passing down the family history is very important to my family, especially given the enormity of this event, it just kills me every time I think about what it must’ve been like for them just before they died. They must’ve been absolutely terrified, and a feeling of complete helplessness. My apologies if some of what I said, doesn’t quite make sense, but when I get upset like this, it’s difficult to think straight. Just knowing 17 of my family are either somewhere in that ship, or were long ago, carried away by the ocean. Either way, thank you for the video, it allows me once again to have a little bit of closure, although truth be told, I don’t think I will ever get over it, it has been burned into my memory, as though I was there in person. I am one of the many that are here because of those seven family members that made a last ditch attempt for life, and it’s not easy having such a close connection to such a devastating, internationally known event. Even if I wanted to put it behind me and forget about it, I can’t, everywhere I look, there’s videos about it, books about it, shows about it, it’s a part of a culture. I am proud of the seven people, that against all odds survived with their ingenuity, I just wish so badly the remaining 17 didn’t have the chance to do the same, unfortunately, they were in different areas of the ship, and during all the chaos, they only saw each other in time to see most of them consumed by the flood water pouring in from all sides as they ran for their lives. Many of them have stated that they wish they would’ve stayed, because the survivors guilt they felt was worse than dying. Please, never forget that so many people died, that this is not just a shipwreck, this is holy ground. Thank you, if you have any questions, I’ll do my best to answer, God bless.

All my life I had a fascination with the Titanic, back in 1996 when there were 3 Cruse Ships that went to the sight of the Titanic when there were Artifacts being brought up I was on the Cruse Ship "The Royal Majesty" and saw a big piece of the Bulkhead being raised out of the water. This was a great time in my life I never will forget !

I guess in some ways the Titanic truly was unsinkable. I would love it if they could try to bring one of the light fixtures, beds, futon from the bathrooms for the museums. It’s still beautiful to this day.

These images are SO creepy! It's amazing how many things are still intact. I had the privilege to have visited a Titanic exhibit when it came to our area. It was so moving, it brought me to tears time & again that day: recordings of survivors recalling all of the tragedy, seeing passengers' belongings, etc. The creme de le creme was there was an acutal piece of the side of the ship there; SO eerily incredible! (I was really surprised of how small the portholes were) If you hever get the chance to see one of these exhibits or museums...GO! You will not be disappointed. May all of the souls who lost their lives that fateful day rest in peace.

This is excellent. Thank you for sourcing the best bits from Titanic Archive Project and making this epic video. Something we tend to forget, but what this reminds us is Titanic is still a ship and is only a few miles away. It still looks like a ship and still has rooms with interiors that are recognizable. It hasn’t disappeared. As another KZfaqr (Brugger Films) recently said: Titanic is the last survivor of her own disaster.

I have seen many documentaries on TITANICS artifacts but this by far is over the top.

I understand that it’s now nearly impossible to raise the titanic without it falling apart but maybe they should try to remove and save as many fixtures, objects etc from inside the ship as possible while they still can. It’s remarkable that those objects have stood the test of time so deep under the ocean

I'm south african and was on vacation in America 1997 when Titanic was shown. It left an impact on me. I just love watching these clips of Titanic esp the music. It makes me sad every time I watch it. But I love it. Also feel sad for those passengers that lost their lives. Also the 5 that died on the titan that risked their lives to see only the wreck. The gymnasium collapsed due to too many submersible landings in the roof

Since the grand staircase wasn't attached to the ship, and no remnants of it were found in the ship, experts think it floated up and out.

Today's cruise ships may be much bigger, but they'll never compare to the beauty and elegance of the ocean liners like Titanic.

Most of these interior pictures, the 99% actually, belong to the Olympic. Basically because the Titanic sank in her maiden voyage and therefore there was not enough time to take pictures. That’s why they have used the images from the PC program Titanic Honor and Glory, where you can appreciate that the glass panels of the first class dinning room entrance were much bigger in the Titanic than in the Olympic.

19:00 Actually the captains bath tub is not visible anymore I think. We have to consider that these images are mostly 38 years old actually so the ship has degraded much more since then.

As that guy in the movie said about Smith's bathtub, "somebody left the water running."

I really hope one of these days they will go there again before it completely disintegrates and not record with a potato. There's far superior cameras out there.

I really enjoyed all the attention to detail. It made the Titanic really come to life for me.

I’m surprised they didn’t bring the gold mantle clock up for the titanic items museum.

My favorite items on the ship were the chandelier in the center of the first class lounge ceiling, the electric candelabra at the base of the stairs leading into the lounge off the dining room, the oval mirror inserts in the paneling of the first class restaurant, the decorative floors (linoleum I suppose) in the first class foyer and the main dining room, and the stateroom that looks like it’s done in British Arts and Crafts style. Interesting to note that if Titanic hadn’t sunk and survived into the 1920s (like the Olympic) the decor would have been considered dated in the Art Deco era. People today are surprised that only some of the first class cabins had private bathrooms but ocean liners were constantly evolving at the time and it seemed that each year a new ship came out that was supposedly better than the existing ships. By the 1950s, when crossing the ocean by ship was still in vogue, liners like Andrea Doria (another ill-fated one) had features like colorful children’s playrooms, surrealist printed curtains, and espresso machines at the bars -

What do you think is the cause of the increasing degradation of the wreckage in recent years? Is it the warming of the North Atlantic? The continued excursions to the site? When the ship sank there would have been hundreds of bodies floating, probably in groups, in the decks below, in the cabins and in the hallways. That would have been a truly horrific sight for several months until the sea creatures began to slowly devour the remains.

Don't know why I find it haunting that the world elevator is still visible on the elevator after all these years of the ships decay, being trapped in an elevator is already a fear of mine, but trapped in one on a sinking ship, I'd just die from shock.

What I found interesting looking at all these light fixtures is that the Titanic’ electrical system was 100 volts DC.

This is an incredible project/video to see how the titanic itself is & has deteriorated. It’s really something to see! Hard to comprehend what your eyes are looking at. And I’ve seen some of the comments here about how unbelievable scared the people must have been when or if they really realized they were going to perish here on the ship. Plus the terror that those who watched it break apart from their tiny little boats. I went through a unique museum in my city when the titanic boat was sorta re-created, that was really interesting in itself! Wow! I wouldn’t want to be on a cruise ship either after the experiences some people have experienced & I’m not referring to the titanic. Too darn frightening for me.
