The trauma of losing all his money stimulated his fear of the color green, which he tries to overcome by connecting with the outdoors and gardening in his free time

A James Turner house? To me, this means a modern build, white walls, black and grey furniture, platforms, half walls and of course BATUU!!!

This build is like a video documentary on a successful career sim who loses their battle with addiction to buying future cubes, and slowly has to sell all their belongings to afford more of them.

You should have built this in the desert to really avoid the color green

As soon as I saw the future cubes I did the math and was like oh no when will he realize?

I'm imagining someone visiting this house and finding the Sim sitting there with all their future cubes saying "please don't tell people how I live" 😂

The sims living here will be in an eternal state of fear bc of the bright green grass outside their giant windows in every room 😭

I think the rule should be if you do the optional challenge e.g. building on a diagonal, then you get to eliminate one of the other challenges, e.g. 30 future cubes!

I’m definitely trying out this generator. It would be fun if you did a whole “Build Newcrest” challenge with all random generated homes 😆

14:28 this is ABSOLUTELY the james turner challenge! every time you build anything for your let’s plays you spend all the money on decor and then realize that you spent all your money, undo the decor and buy cheap stuff you need! 😂😂😂

One Thing I would like about the challenge is if you can pick which packs you have.. for example if it had to have a climbing wall I would be lost because I don´t have the pack with it :)

I know how expensive future cubes are because I'm always excited when I fish one in my Rags to Riches, so as soon as he started putting in the furniture I was thinking "What about the future cubes?" Sorry, James. Instead of thinking it, I should have yelled it and saved you from having to delete all your nice touches. Great build challenge.

With 30 future cubes this feels like a house built for one of the sims in Lilsimsie's nightmare legacy challenge since she had a generation where she kept using the future cubes to make decisions....except she'd make them ask more than once. Here she could have literally just kept choosing different future cubes! LOL I don't think I've ever paid so much attention to the tiny color details of items when placing them, so seeing James keep looking for any amount of green on any indoor furniture was both funny and intriguing! Though since one of the desks' green was literally some photo of the outdoors and this sim loves the outdoors, should that have counted as part of their fear. I know fears are irrational thoughts and don't make logical sense, but if the sim loves the outdoors then I'd think they'd be okay with an image on their desk of the outdoors. They just wouldn't want anything else green.

I have: - build a warehouse - must have one floor - build on a 40x20 size lot - your owners are a retired couple - they love laundry and thrifting - they're afraid of fruitcake (no welcome wagon for them then, I guess). - must have their home theatre -Your budget is 117242 -optionally searching on the gallery for a shell, first one that pops up you need to use (which I didn't choose for). I uploaded it, and then noticed I forgot musical instruments and a speaker. I normally never leave these out. Also I had a bit of a difference in the budget somehow. I played the game a while to have laundry hanging on the clothesline and just made it before the welcome wagon would have scared the couple with their fruitcake. I never build a warehous before, so that was nice.

Because it says "must have THEIR 30 future cubes", I'd totally interpret that to mean they already own the thirty future cubes and it doesn't need to be counted towards the budget. But this way is also fun 😂

Aww I would argue that this is exactly what a James Turner fixer upper would be like!! Maybe you should have gone the route of building a more run down, slightly decrepit looking place and move one of your future sims into it!! It could be their starter home. One where they explore their budding interest in outdoor activities while they prepare themselves for a career… in a tech start up selling next gen future cubes… 🤣
