Hi Justin, thanks for this video. Your instructions are very clear but I am struggling with exporting to a video. I was able to export to frames, but am unsure of the FFMPEG install. Where can I get the FFMPEG file, in what format should I download it for Mac OS and how might I export it? Please let me know and thank you

Great video, but what software could I use to export the animation so that it can be rendered? I don't have Vray so any other options?

Very nice Justin ,, but i have small question , i tried this Extension and i used export images using vray , when i click generate , it opened and Vray Frame window and start rendring a single one still image and it did not complete to next frame ( so its rendered only one frame ) which is problem , can you find a solution for this .. thank you very much ,, and keep forward :)

Great video, am going to look at getting these plugins, I do have 1 question: Can you edit the distance on how far some objects fly out to?

Yep - I believe you can adjust it with a slider when you first set the explosion distance. Thanks!

Great video Justin. Going to have to try this extension. Near the end of this tutorial you mentioned we could possibly 'Export this to a renderer'. What did you mean exactly? I'm picturing: 1) cycle through each frame, and render each one out using for example v-Ray. Hmm.. I wonder if it would be possible say.. To have each frame exported, but somehow maintain a transparency outside of,the modeled parts, so you could add say a cool timelapse video behind the sequence. Even just a simple sky day/night cycle for example. Or better yet, get that sequence to impose light changes on the model..

Some extensions, like Ambient Occlusion, actually integrate into Animator, allowing you to render each frame - there's some more examples over on Fredo6's channel - kzfaq.infovideos - Thanks!

Fantastic tutorial Justin. My question though is, if I create an exploded view of an object, say for example, a cabinet, can I edit the reassembly to show the different parts going together in a sequence as if I was building it?

Should be able to - just duplicate the animation and this time use the reverse animation option

You know - initially I was going to say no, but you could probably at least apply rotation to the individual objects as an animator rotation or spin - I'd have to test it out, but you might be able to figure something out. Thanks!

got it, lets say from frame you set no rotation, frame 30 you rotate individual ones, it is just more labor than if there is a auto random feature. thanks!

Can you add an object to the group to offset the "center point" maybe? I think I have to play with this.

Great video bro and I want to ask a question. When I click the ''generate a video for the film'' button I can't see menu or anthing else. There is just a red frame. Do you know what's the problem?

Is it possible to render the animation in SketchUp and Enscape? I mean, Can I play the animation after making it, and render in the real time renderer of Enscape at the same time?

No - Enscape doesn't support moving animations like this at the moment - thanks!

Please help!! I have been trying to do this and every time I go to save the clip, there is no play button to view the clip at the end or even save the video, it keep saving at still images even tho I have downloaded the exe. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you follow the instructions Fredo lists about halfway down this page in this post? forums.sketchup.com/t/export-as-image-sequence/63848 - I have a feeling the exe might be in the wrong folder, but I don't know for sure

Nope - Lumion's animation engine is different than SketchUp's and will not accept output from animator

Short answer...you can't - Lumion's animation doesn't work the same way as other rendering programs
