When Matt doesn't like a car he says things like: "interesting" or "neat". It's not like he's going to shit on the guys dream while he's driving the car he made by hand.

Yeah, nothing really wrong with it. You'd think though, considering he's trying to sell these, that he'd want to talk and advertise the car a bit.

I understand that... but i just felt like Matt was trying to get him to talk, and he simple wouldn´t budge! Some folks are just more "camera shy" than others.

He was pretty quiet, it was ok though. I think if I were bringing one on to showcase, I might have maybe leaned on the turbo a bit (another 100 would be ok ;) ) but that may have emphasized the twitchy handling that much more.. Probably a lot of fun for a weekend driver though.

The car owners have a choice of whether to be in the passenger seat or not be on camera at all. If you choose to be in the passenger seat, it doesn't make sense to be totally silent.

All of that importation business has nothing to do with safety or emissions or anything like that, it's all about money. Car manufacturer's don't lose money from a few talented enthusiasts building cars. I say let them build their cars.

60-40 rear bias RWD sounds even worse than 60-40 front bias FWD. At least with FWD, you can lift throttle oversteer to counter the understeer. This thing seems scary.

I say outstanding. This was made by 3 people at a home workshop. Get the bugs worked out. Get a cheaper motor option. Those saying it needs more power are crazy. 250HP in 1400 pounds is crazy for a car this size. It would be a bit pricey I believe. It would hard to get me into one of these over a used 911 money. I'm guessing it would start in the 30s. Keep it up guys you will get there

Second time watching this one and I just wanna say I have a whole new appreciation for you driving abilities. For the past couple weeks my trucks clutch was fucked so I've been switching between my brothers, parents, and friends cars: (manuls) '94 geo metro, '96 yota 4runner, '05 yota Matrix, (autos) '11 nissan xterra and '15 yota collola and GODDAMN even for pretty "normal" car the driving experience is different in every single one. I always knew you were obviously a good driver, this is your job, but over these last couple weeks I've realized just how whack it must be to try to jump in 3-7 cars a day and try to drive them fast and well without looking like an idiot.

Seem they have the right idea and mindset, purely made to be an experience, as analog as possible, but it could look better and it def looked abit scary to drive tbh. I prefer if a car can do without alot of aero parts bolted on, this car could probably do with some aero parts in the front and back too! Give these guys a few years and they will probably put out something amazing! :) Has to remember they are trying to build something affordable here from what I can tell. Not a BAC Mono competitor or top end Atom or Caterham either. That said, if I where to buy anything remotely like it I'd go for the caterham atm, dont care about power or speed, just that classic look is just perfect! :)

Needs front down force and a larger turbo..why keep the no top end stock turbo? its undersized. These motors are excellent with properly sized turbo not a massive lagfest but just one that breathes up top since factory turbo goes from 22 psi down to 13 at redline since it can't flow. Ford Ecoboost 2.0L Engine is designed with a big torque shove to make a 3,700lbs car feel fast, a 1,400lbs car dose not need boost. A naturally aspirated 4 cylinder could easily make 250hp and be very rev happy which is you want in a car like that. Maybe a hayabusa engine, less torque and a way higher red line, Remember this is the type of car is going to feel fast regardless but the ecoboost will have you breaking the speed limit in second gear, this car should have miata syndrome (feel faster then you're going) and a high revving little engine would set it off and really make it funner then it already is.

Please get external mic and just sync the audio afterwards.. it will make a huge difference
@TheSmokingTire

Senor we are using an external mic. When you have a car with no body there is only so much you can do with that much wind.

I know but i mean with separate cables for both persons under your shirts near your mouth with some wind guards it will help. Keep it up!

Senor no we're not doing that either. No auto leveling with wired mics, and since I'm driving and reviewing I can't monitor audio without auto leveling. Not worth risking having unusable audio. I need 75% quality 100% of the time. Not 100% quality 75% of the time.

Do you have one of those weird 3 wheeled Polaris things on the schedule? I've noticed a shit ton on the roads so far this year, mostly driven by middle aged men having a mid life crisis

$10k for engine and trans . . . you can get a brand new LS3 and T56 (or even a Coyote 5.0 w/ trans) for about $12k
