As a Korean, I know all of these songs and they are really called "legend" Although most of K-pop songs are known only by fans these days, it is no exaggeration to say that K-pop in 2009 is known by all Koreans. I really miss this time.

For me, 2009 was abracadabra. I fell in love with kpop and started staning brown eyed girls with it and i made the best decision by doing so ❤️ Missing beg so much, I hope they will have a comeback soon kpop needs the queens back

A reminder that 2PM's Again and Again was in Top 5 and Hate You in Top 50 of most downloaded songs of 2009 but for some reason both songs are often ignored. T-Ara had so many hits in 2009, half of their album was a hit.

I discovered Kpop around 2007 or early 2008. It really saved my life for making me happy and boosting my creativity skills. It was not accepted here in my country during my life (even Korean food), they even called me weird, but I love it, cos I discovered the music that I'll enjoy for the rest of my life.

Oh the nostalgia~! 2009 is the year I discovered Kpop and all this time later I still am a huge fan. I will always remember the 2nd and 3rd gen groups/idols that got me into Kpop as I continue to support later 3rd gen and now 4th gen groups/idols that are performing now ^w^ being a "multi-stan" is hardwork but I've been doing it for 13+ years now so it's second nature. Also the fact I know every one of these songs and can sing along still XD

This is SO nostalgic for me.. this is how I began in KPop! I had been following BoA already for her JPop music and then eventually became curious and listened to her Korean music which then led me to find 2NE1 and they are still my all time favorite group and I miss them so much! 2NE1`s debut single `I don`t care` was mega-hits in Korea all half of the year(released in July1,2009) and most downloaded/sale song in 2009 and they swept almost all the awards that year.

Yup. This takes me back. I got into not only Kpop, but Kdramas and variety shows. Of those variety shows, We Got Married started during this time. Taeyon and Hyung Don just got on the show at the time Gee was released. I think that song got a lot more exposure because of We Got Married. Not to mention they were cute back then. Well at least Taeyeon was! 🤣

K-Ville's vote for A Boy is EPIC! To this day it's one of my favourite songs. And having had the opportunity to see it live is one of my most precious live concert memories.

Tvxq brought me into kpop world and my high school was full with these precious groups and songs! I can sing along to most of the songs! Compare to now which I only know few super famous groups, maybe because of I'm old already 😂
