Just a regular camping trip with Beautiful Wife in the southern Alberta badlands. We got a campsite at Writing On Stone Provincial Park, which is the site of the largest concentration of stone art petroglyphs in North America. One of the last winter camping trips for this year.

My wife and I are 71 and 82 respectively, in our younger days we camped nearly every weekend in Eastern Oregon. We played music all over that area. We stealth camped in a van that I built into a camper with folding sofa/bed. We once traveled thru Canada from glacier Park to Vancouver Island camping all the way in an International travel all. Now that we are to old and decrepit we just camp vicariously with you. Thanks for including us. Robert (Smitty) Smith and my beautiful wife Nancy.

Hello Steve, I have fond memories of that place as a child too, family gatherings. I really appreciate the reminiscence therapy and well timed. As this is the first place I ever seen a wild rattlesnake, any later in the season and they may have been prolific. Good reasoning for cowboy boots. The people are not just honest in Southern Alberta but friendly too. When growing up, it was common for on-coming traffic to wave as they passed by. The National parks were the only ones to have fees or facilities in those days, day or annual pass. Last time I seen Waterton Lakes National Park, I was horrified how they destroyed some of the areas I was familiar with, for the sake of tourism. Maybe we grew up in a time forgotten and less convenient but where fewer laws restricted or imposed on basic, simple human rights & freedoms, Thanks.

was just recently there, its crazy to go over some of your videos over a year later. I have been binge watching them and love your videos man. RIP Beautiful wife but all we as fans can hope for is that you continue to put out awesome videos. Was all in and around the Edmonton area, the Hoodoos and Drumheller always good to experience it while u can. Even better from your perspective. One day id love to have a youtube channel showing the beauty of Sask and Canada as a whole. Loved watching your video with MAV, and your video w Forresty Forrest. I follow all yalls channels and it would be crazy for a collab of all you guys, I know MAV is US based but Forrest, you and MAV would be a sick vid, i know you have videos with both fellows individuality but ye hiking w Forrest, or Cooking w mavv, i wish you all the best Steve and just know Ive watched almost every single one of your videos. (I'm working on it anyway) Love you man and always look forward to your next video. and where your exploring next.
