My brother is 22 months younger than me. They had him tested because he didn't talk. The diagnosis was me - the older sister. I spoke for him so he didn't need to. When he did, he was talking in full sentences. It is 38 years later and I still try to take care of him. Big sisters be like that.

EVAN: My husband was just like you. Had all these great ideas, developed them to the point of production, then said, “one day…”. Well, he went to be with Jesus at age 59 and “one day” never came. In re Zade's speech, my son didn't talk until 3 but he spoke in full sentences when he started. He was an observer and took everything in until he could speak well. You guys are the best!!

Well in case you are interested, regarding the bank accounts, we both work (very similar salaries) and have separate accounts but also a joined one where we both put the same amount each month. With this account we pay most things: rent, bills, car, groceries, eating out, clean lady, home repairs & appliances... We use the personal one for gifts (to each other but also I pay for my family's gifts, he pays for his. This way I don't feel bad if I want to spend more on my niece than what he would like for his, for example). Also if i go on a girls trip, or want to buy something for myself (clothes, hairdresser, a new phone) I pay that from my account. This felt the good for both of us, so we don't feel bad for spending money on things that are not necessities.

My husband and I have separate bank accounts. It works for us. We each pay our certain bills and if one has a bill that they need help with, we pay it. We both pay at various meals out but don’t eat out a lot of buy coffee out. You’re so right, it’s so expensive. We live a simple life with very little debt. Mortgage, utilities, groceries, and medical bills are our only debts. It’s tough for young people. We’ve paid our vehicles off and he fixes our cars so we will never have another car payment.

We just celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary on the 12th and we have always had separate checking accounts. We don't even bank at the same bank, as long as all the bills get paid we are good.
