Yoda theory: Every single yoda that we have ever met is extremely force-sensitive and most served the Jedi Order. The Sith were, originally, an actual species that died out. What if Yodas were the original Jedi that influenced the founding of the Order?

I always pictured Yoda's race as being from the Unknown regions of space. It would explain why they are not well known in normal space, and why Yoda did not understand that he was force sensitive. In the New Cannon Thrawn books, we find out that the Force in the Unknown Regions is mainly relegated to Navigational abilities and not much else.

I honestly love that George Lucus kept Yoda' s secrets to himself. It develops a fascination for the unknown with limitless possibilities for awesome fan fiction.

As much as I would love to learn the true origins of Yoda, I think keeping it a mystery with only little tidbits here and there being released is better. It adds to his weight as a Jedi Grandmaster.

Soo let me get this straight, Yoda became a Jedi master at the age of 96, which is all well and good and all but in The Mandalorian there’s another member of his species that is 50 yet still looks and behaves like an infant. Does that mean his species just does a huge amount of growing in 46 years, more than it did for the first 50 years of its life or am I thinking too much into this?

The Yoda story would have to be the most epic of all stories of Star Wars. It would be as long as all 9 parts of the Skywalker saga.

I liked the idea that Yoda wanted to be a merchant, in order to be a successful merchant you need wisdom and cunning which suit his character well and give us an insight of how he became wise. Truly a great small detail that I liked. :)

I actually like the mystery in canon now. I hope that "the Child" in Mando is tied to Yoda somehow other than species, but that they are still a mystery. The unknown is what keeps things like this alive. If you explain everything, then there's nothing left to talk about. This is something the Star Wars Legends tried to do, and while I love many of those stories, a lot of them are kind of ridiculous.

I have found Yoda’s backs story, so you my friends may rejoice! Young Yoda is from the planet Yodaria way out in the furthest reaches from the outer rim. Yodaria (home of the Yodian species) is a peaceful little planet of little green beings with large floppy ears that loves nature, life, and little shinny things. Yoda was born in the little town of Yodaville where he frolicked with his family, friends, and fellow yodanites until he was a teenager. His fathers business wasn’t growing like he wanted it to. Yodster (Yoda’s father) decided it was time to pack up his wife Yodima and son to move the family business of Shiny Things and Stuff from Yodaville to the big city lights of Yodaopolis. After a few years of working long and hard hours at the shop. Yoda got high off of some bad mushrooms, and woke up on a ship heading towards Dagobah. He then started his Jedi training and swore off mushrooms for the res of his life!
