I thrift some of the most AMAZING blazers but I have never worn a blazer lol. Blazers are just so masculine to me and I am a girly girl.

Dupes are fine but fakes/knock offs are not. Dupes are inspired by designers but fakes try to pass themselves off as the actual luxury brand. Pont is of you like the style and can only afford a dupe go for it!

I get your point about not spending a lot of money on 'trend-focused' items, but I don't think a tank top was a good example. They are not a trend in the way that oversized blazers with shoulder pads are.The other point where I may not align with you is about buying multiples of pieces. For myself, I have a pear-shaped physique. Finding trousers/jeans that flatter me is quite a challenge. It would be beneficial to have a couple of pairs in a flattering shape as I know I would make good use of them. You have a rectangular physique and can get away with wearing almost anything. Think about those of us who have figure challenges. Sweeping statements like that aren't helpful.

Edgy and trendy have never been part of my style vocabulary, I like classics. There are always some trends I love that work well with this style, for example, I love the polo tops (collared knits) that are trending now, they’re actually classics that are just more available right now than in recent years.

I would love a video dedicated to finding the colours which work for me. I ‘got my colours done’ 3 times years ago-each time I was recommended a different palette! 1. Spring 2. Summer 3. Autumn! I am totally confused!

Leonie, you are right. The best items I've found have been from thrifting one of a kind exclusive pieces. I love having a minimalistic wardrobe because I can manage it better. I also love linens, crisp white cottons, and beautiful beige colors. You can add a pop of color with accessories. Cleanlines always look amazing.😊

One tip I find useful is to ask yourself 'Would I have bought this garment 5 years ago?' and 'Would I buy this garment in 5 years time?' If the answer to either is No - then do not buy the garment. Elegant style is timeless - not fashion led.

I bought a navy sequin knee length long ballon sleeve wrap style cocktail dress for $22 in size 8, only size left. I wear 4/6 but I took a chance. It turned out a perfect fit. I think this dress was in discount retailer with deep discount because it is undersized. The shoulder width is too narrow and sleeve length too short for size 8. It is hard to find a knee length sequin dress in long sleeve so I am keeping it, hopefully will have occasions to wear it.

Im not sure I agree about fake handbags since there are now many high end fakes available which make it difficult to tell the difference. I resent the extortionate prices that design houses are charging and I figure, why not beat them at their own game? For me personally, I don't care at all about designer bags, but for those who do I have no quibble with fakes if that's your thing.

Not sure of why "flutter sleeves", are on many of the styles this fall. I already have broad shoulders, so its a no go for me. Many of the "trends", don't last either.

Somebody had to agree to someone disagree with but overall it was good and gives you something to think about when it comes to like sales I would if it was something I wanted in the beginning of the season and I come across it on sale or clearance then that’s a good time for me to ride. Hey Leoni your statement "and you shouldn't either" make it sound like as if we not well dressed. TeeHee! I more influence in the styling of pieces than actually having to have the exact item. Ugh! LOL! There that word again trend. This is why thrifting became such a major way of getting quality fashion for my budget. I have million-dollar taste on a need to be frugal income. So, this is why I have practice taking items and pairing together with maybe a piece that I got out of those teen shops (I am surprised that a lot of them are still with me and it been 12 years or so) and invest in more expensive items when they are on just take it please clearance or major sale with on top of coupon. I could be consider a hoarder because I hold on to my things. Those tailored suit maxi skirts that everyone breaking bank on to acquire, I had those as part of my office suit and you wore your pumps and then when booties came in I switched, then I mixed it up with blazers because first it was bit oversize with the shoulders, then it went to more fitted and I wore statement cardigans with the skirt and then during warmer season wore these skirts with open toe shoes. I had put not reach for my ballet flats for some years now and they a thing? I already check the shoe boxes for their condition (PERFECTION) and they back in rotation (Now at 61, might add insole). With my own brown skin tone there not a no no color for me. I am interested in the different ways of using the color wheel for sure, I saw a video on this but can't find it (very detailed). The fabric is a very good point because that has been what keeps me from ordering some really cute things from Amazon the drop and Shein (I hate a flowy print having the inside is white, not a good look). I am ok with fakes (thrifted some) or dup if it is giving the look I want (I am not concern about designer). I am more focus on genuine leather goods. I agree with all. I love watching videos, and using styles or items as just knowing what is out there . So i would dont need to go through all fashion store websites 🤪😳 but of course i use only as that, not that i need that item, because it looks good on them. Nope it has to fit my style, or/and lifestyle. Like for example, i am not a Zara girl, its nothing wrong with Zara, its just anytime, i get influenced, and purchase an item, i never end up wearing. So i stopped doing it. Yes quality is a must. The exception i have, only for some interesting synthetic fabrics, but that look good, definitely not cheap, something some designers use, like Chanel. A spaghetti strap dress over a tee? That's so 90's. Is this trending again? I'm not surprised since a lot of 80's and 90's styles are trending now and I'm so happy about it. Especially the 80's trends coming back. Even the 70's trends are trending again (espadrilles, wide leg pants, etc). It's like a fashion reunion, I'm getting to meet up with all my favorite pieces from the past. I'm stocking up!

Can you give suggestion on how to wear black tops or black bottoms? All black top and bottom does not work. I have many black bottoms and black tops. I don't like or take the suggestion of all one color top and bottom. Unless it is a suit. However I do hear that bags matching shoes is going to come back. The users of these items will decide.

I agree neutrals are boring I look hodepus eith black or white or beige close to my face. I have Spring coloring. I am packing for 3 mos in the US. Impacked all neutrals and a touch of my color in tops..never could I wear all neutrals...I wear them in pants and skirts. I never dress in anything oversize or skin tight. I have a good small hourglass body. I have to cover my arms to my elbows at my age.

I will no longer wear polyester clothing. I have bought some without looking at the fabric. But it goes back. I don’t like the way I look in polyester. My granddaughter just came to visit. And she had a knock off Louis Vuitton bag. I already own a real one. And I felt her bag, and it felt almost exactly the same. And she only paid like $100 for it. She said she will carry it until she can afford a real one. I don’t wear trends. I wear what is comfortable and looks good on me. And I don’t think trends are for me.
