I never get people who think we invade for souls. You get like 600 for an invasion. It’s not even worth it. We invade to overcome the odds and come out on top. And I don’t know about y’all, but when a host quits out that victory tastes so much sweeter.

Well yeah, that's usually the case with hatemail in this game. People often get so salty that they fail to realize their hyocrisy and refuse to accept defeat and try to blame it on whatever they can to make it *seem* like the fight was somehow rigged or unfair, even though in reality it's a fair fight that both parties had equal opportunity to win had they played well (and if we're being honest here, the host really has the advantage over invaders in terms of health and Estus)

yeah honestly, that guy's a huge asshole. Dark Souls trolling can be amusing to an extent, and it's usually in the spirit of fun and *ahem* "teaching" and it's usually not very harmful. A cheap death or too won't matter too much in the grand scheme of things or affect your gameplay experience that much. Usually trolling can be used as a method to teach new players about stuff to watch out for during invasions, and help them understand what to avoid in PvP. Trolling can get annoying sure, but I don't see any real harm in it. Using force to push people off ledges? Fine. Parry noobs and riposte them to oblivion? Fine. Make them hurt their NPCs however... *Now you've gone too far.*

@@andrewmoluf4299 Although, if you think from his position, he didn't intend to hit Solaire, he was trying to hit the invader without realizing that his fireball was going to hit Solaire, most likely. Depending on how new he was, he might not even have known his attacks could hurt the Jolly Sunbro or that he would get mad even if he did hit him... because c'mon, it's the Jolly Sunbro for god's sake. Or it could just be tunnelvision on trying to kill the invader. I do that plenty myself lol. The invader could have been a bit nicer than saying 'noob trap lol' too.

Hey You, in Dark Souls 1 there was no dark damage. Dark Bead did magic damage but scales off of intelligence differently. Point still stands though, resistance exists.

I’m not a good player at dark souls... at all. So I get killed a lot by invaders (and hosts) but not once have I sent anyone hate mail. If you get killed, that’s it. You lost. Fair and square. Move on. The only time I ever really get upset is if it’s a hacker which I’ve only ever run into a couple times but I still don’t send hate mail because what’s that gonna do? They’re still gonna keep doing what they’re doing and you’re just gonna get more mad sitting there typing away your life on something that doesn’t matter.

Also they could record you and put you on KZfaq, and then you'd get publicly humiliated. Much worse than dying in a game where death doesn't matter.

Most of the time I congratulate people in a 1v1 match. If it's a large gank and they all point down I just ignore them (often happens when I'm alone running through the game by myself) Never quite understood the 'get gud noobz' or the point down when its 3v1 with 3 invaders (often Aldrich), though it sure feels good when I somehow come out on top the few times I do.

@@kaisersoymilk6912 Eh, I'd almost agree to that if it wasn't how it happened in the game. Nine times outta ten it's either the guys trying to get me into a corner to just smash me down, or when I'm owning two of them and the third lovetaps me to end it. Though I think the one that frustrates me is the Aldrich who came in one at a time. I was facing off against one, despite the fact that he had much better weapons (Dragonslayer Greataxe vs my Greatclub) I was legit beating him. He hit me three times but He was soaking up his Estuses every time we clashed. Got attacked from behind which killed me, since my health wasn't high from the 2nd Aldrich. 1st guy points down despite the fact I had him dead several times. EDIT: Take into account though that the point downs tend to be rare. I show I'm gonna fight them, often I just get the wave when it's not a duel.

+UltimateShamrock I never said it was good, lol. The broken sword hilt is useful in the event that a broken straight sword didn't drop from a basic hollow and you want to get the weapon collection achievement without wasting an actually-decent weapon.

I remember one time, I got invaded by a dark spirit and killed in a 1 v 1 who sent me a message that said, 'WTF are you playing online'... he was salty I wasn't harder to kill??? Lots of examples of sore losers, but this was a sore winner. You'll never be happy guy, and I love this game.

Why can’t people differentiate between co-op and ganking? Co-op is when people join together to run through a difficult area or boss, ganking is when assholes summon each other in a pvp hotspot and then summon people to pvp or wait till they get invaded so they have an unfair advantage
