In this final video I fit the plinths and the cooked hood apart from the chimney as the electrical connection has yet to be done.

Great stuff as always. I love the fact that you mentioned Andy The Gosforth Handyman. I follow his channel also (along with Proper DIY, Rag 'n' Bone Brown, Charlie DIYte and Robin Clevett ) It's good to see proper craftsmen like yourself giving a shout out to each other.

Hi John🖐Great comment bud, and Andy gave my channel a plug on his kitchen video which mine a nice little boost👊It's a funny old world making and uploading KZfaq videos, and, as you say, is pretty cool to think that there is a bit of community that makes you feel not so alone from a creators perspective🤩Cheers Del

Great video again. Sparky put the power for our rangehood in the wrong location (only off about 300mm - one of many mistakes). The kitchen fitters did not want to come back so they fed the rangehood power lead into the ceiling. When the sparky came back to fix their mistakes (fortunately a differ person) they just moved the socket in the ceiling & connected rangehood. Then plaster had to come back to patch the wall. Hard to get good trades people in Australia. Great to see there are still trades people like you that take pride in their work.

Hi Peter🖐I've seen the power outlet for the extractor hood outside where the chimney goes quite a few times, and it's just poor/lazy planning, and as you mention in your comment, causes additional problems for others to sort out😵‍💫Thanks for your comment and thanks for watching from Australia 🇦🇺 😀 Cheers Del

Nice video Del👌. I've seen fitters using a 18volt impact to fit full kitchen. Crazy stuff. See what you did hand tighten dishwasher all drawer brackets. That's what I do aswell, I have a fairly old cordless makita 18v drill, it's weak to drill stuff, but perfect for light work. Keep the brushless 18v for other stuff.
@thetallcarpenter
@thetallcarpenter Жыл бұрын
You're spot on Paul, and these powerful new impact drivers lack the control of the smaller, drill drivers, and can easily strip out timber when screws are overtightened😬 I guess it's a case of using the right tool for the job👍Cheers Del

Hi there🖐When fitting this strip, start a couple of inches one end, and keeping it pushed down with one hand, lift the the rest of the trim up and 'bend' it whilst thumbing it onto the edge as you go.
