Techne. the DEATH ADDER comparison was awesome. thank you. 13:51 - I was aactually planning to get me a razer death adder v2 coming from a Viper mini. Just because I need somerthing more comfortable. but with this review and you saying that "it just flows" when you hold the orochi. Im going for that orochi dude. thank you.

@@TheTechne I invite you to Europe and we will talk about the price, you there in America, when it comes to electronics, you have a paradise on earth. You don't appreciate something you have. In Europe, this mouse costs 80 euro and I think it's a good price. The G305 in Europe costs 40-50 Euro. The Orochi V2 in Poland costs 80 euros, i.e. $ 95, so in Europe the Orochi V2 will be sold for $ 90-95 dollars and the G305 $ 50-60. You have an "electronic paradise" over there, please think about it next time you say that $ 70 is a lot, in Europe I will give it $ 90 for it and I will have to live with it. Greetings from Europe. ; )

The best mouse review I have ever watched. To me, shape and comfort is the most important aspect in choosing a new mouse and this review goes into so much detail. I have been looking for a replacement for my beloved wired G400s that has been perfection for the past ten years or so despite my small hands and is now on its third cable. I tried to find a similar shape wireless mouse, finally bought a G603 and it is really uncomfortable in every way. You have finally persuaded me to try the Orochi. I have watched a lot of positive reviews and my only concern was the size - being used to a large mouse that worked so well for my small hands, I was worried about going so much smaller. There are now some good deals in the UK, so I am going to give the Orochi a try. Thanks for your help.

You nailed the talk on flow and feel of Orochi V2. I say that because I first ordered Logicool G Pro X Superlight (150usd mouse). It was defective so I had to send it back but I did get a feel of it. And Superlight feels light but didn't feel like anything special. Then I ordered Orochi V2 and it just fit my hand and style of use so well. I can see why so many people race about Orochi - if it fits, it fits perfectly.

I think the switches in the Orochi v2 are rated for 60 million or so clicks compared to g305 at only 10 million. Not sure about the Katar. However, the longer overall life of the product may be where the added value of the Orochi v2 at $70 is justified.

$28 at Best Buy today and I just ordered two, the strike edition and the white. I bought one last year at $70 after watching this great review and I ended up returning it. I was having a hard time justifying the price (like Techne), although it was honestly one of the best Razer product I have ever used. At $28, its practically a no brainer.

I think this mouse is supposed to compete with the g305 which released at 60 dollars and it is around 98g-100g this one weighs 72g with a AA battery and 65 with a AAA without needing a converter while the g305 needed a converter to use a AAA and the g305 doesn't have Bluetooth so 10$ more for all these features makes it worth 70$. (But that's just what I thought without comparing it to other mice).

Thx for the review, especially on the comparison part, since I got long hands... I tend to get big mouse for a palm grip, but since you showed how it works well for palm grip and bigger or longer hands... I am now convinced to get this... saves alot than viper ultimate w/c was my 1st option.

Great review, man.... 55-60 dollars is good region for this mouse but it will be possibe to get it for like 40 later on through promotions. Though it's so damn nice to see big players like Razer releasing their product based on our inputs. I'm mostly sold out on the up front sensor placement(been waiting for so long) and finally, possible to grip sides(unlike g305).

I really think that it is worth that price because if we compare this other similarly shaped mice, you would have to buy another battery so it could be close to be as well balanced as the Orochi v2 is, and also some better feet, making the price almost the same

i had my worst expirience with mouse after buying glorious model D then i switched to viper ultimate i think that it will take smth exeptional to make me change mouse again,despite that orochi looks good. Keep up the good work your reviews and compares are very helpfull

One year later and this mouse can be had for $50, or $35 if you feel lucky with a "renewed" mouse. I picked one up, and also feel like its shape is perfect. I'm a hybrid claw/palm gripper, and it just works for me. It'll be my travel mouse and live in my bag, but that's an honor, not a complaint.

Great video. That is quite a steep price comparatively. They should have 100% added another shell with it or had some other feature like hot swap switches to justify the price imo.

Got the Orochi V2 here in an eBay Australia EOFY sale in my choice of white for $82.99 AUD (with taxes) ..... about $56 USD before taxes! and also got a Blackwidow Mini V3 Hyperspeed for $225 AUD (with taxes) ..... about $$152 USD before taxes! ... I'm stoked!!!

Its been a few years since I last bought a Razer product. Can anyone tell me if the durability of their products increased? Because I really wasnt happy with how it turned out all those years ago. The Products I would buy would break down right after their warranty ends. I never bought another Razer product since then.

The Razer Orochi V2 is on sale for $50 from Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy currently. It is most likely a holiday sale so take advantage since on Razer Store on their site its still $70 from them directly I bought a couple of them for my household and they are just superior over our previous Razer mice we used on laptops!

Two important point The weight of 60 grms is just without the battery and depending on the battery you use it really varies the weight Second The hours lasting mentioned are probably of lithium tested under specific situation and if you use alkaline batteries in the mouse than the battery may drop drastically Depending on the weight and battery type choice the time it will last and weight varies I have been using wireless mices for a long time and depending on the battery, weight distribution and the glidiers on the bottom of the mouse varies a. Lot in my experience I had a mice and it had smooth sldidng gliders and the weight distribution was phenomenal but compared to g305 , g305 sucked lol. Wondering about glides

I know it’s small but I’m an engineer (use a mouse 8 hours a day) looking for a gaming/productivity mouse and productivity mouses just feel too heavy. I like the razer lineup but would this mouse or another mouse do well with productivity work?

I'm having a hard time choose between the deathadder v2 pro and orochi. I like the shape of both. Just like you said. It feels natural. Orochi is cheaper, but changing batteries irritates me.

I have big hands so the orochi is out for me. I love my deathadder v2 pro I picked a new sealed box up on ebay for 50.00. my other half though loves the orochi she has small hands.

Just got one last night after eyeing it for a year or so. The little green Razer switch's are so satisfying. My current main is the aerox 3 and if I can get used to this shape I may never touch that aerox.

Just ordered the Orochi v2, how does it compare to the viper mini? I found that my ring finger couldn't find a comfortable spot on the mini. My biggest concern though is if the delay will be a problem.

Bruh I bought a G305 and modded it with a G pro wireless shape. Then the Orochi V2 came out. Hopefully we can get the same level of modding for this mouse like the g305

I'd say the weight justifies the price. Cause that weight basically rivals mice that were considered ultra light just a year or two ago. But this one can run on an AAA.

Boardzy liked this mouse a lot more, but i guess that comes with the territory since he's a big fan of light weight mouse that are small i.e because he uses fingertip grip. Personally for me this prob not to hot since my hands are 19.5x9.5 cm and i use claw or palm claw hybrid which the GPX (this is to much $ tho for me), model o wireless (bought this one second hand for 50$ coming tomorrow), xenics titan wireless (prob what i would buy if i coulden't get model o for cheap), etc. are better for my and maybe your grip style? *still a great review and i like to get contrasting view points many times so as to understand the subject a bit more i guess ;)*

I absolutly agree that the price for the black\white version boarders on beeing to expensive while the custom one a just way to expensive. But the orochi v2 is still the better buy than the g305 and Katar. The g305 ist a great deal, but it weighs 30g more, has worse batterylife, has worse switches wich tend to doubleclick early, isn't as balanced and has way way worse glides. If you buy an AA lithium ion battery + adapter and Corepads the pricegap closes by rougly 15 Dollars and you still end up with the worse glides, switches, balance and weight. Great Review tho! :)
