Yes, you're right; there are only a few people who buy into this mind-set, and it really doesn't come down to men or women, but just this group of people who need to sell their faces and bodies for a living...I think I was lumping them in with the people who so often seem to really be influenced by this; the people who seem to approve of living one's life as if they are constantly on show, who adopt this sort of attitude as their life's goal. (Sorry for that huge run-on sentence!) I also have to agree with you about Jennifer Aniston. Ai yai yai! Speaking from the perspective of being female, it's so often seen how women will compete with other women in regards to looking young, like you win if you look young. It's frustrating. I don't know who wrote the script for this video, but it comes off as if the older women aren't worth as much because they somehow chose to get old. We *all* age, (if we are fortunate enough to do so) so why do media outlets like these act like they are just being so very kind to include the older women? Entertainment, I suppose. Ugh. Yep.. Let's show the worst possible photo of someone you can find, then applaud them for 'celebrating their natural beauty'. I have a problem with youngsters who probably don't have a line on their faces yet patronising older celebrities for looking 'great' having reached 'a certain age' - which can be anything from 40 onwards. Newsflash, kiddies: not everyone looks the same in any age group. It mostly depends on how well you've looked after yourself and how well life has treated you.
