Ive been bumping this song on my workout list since it first came out and no matter how many phones, how many groups of friends, how much my tastes changed, how many viruses i got, how many programs and apps i went through in the many years, this song always, ALWAYS found its way back in my hard lifting workout list. Ems ability to make 4-5 internal syllable rhymes with 3-5 ending multiple syllables, while keeping the story going & riding the beat so well, that anyone can appreciate a tract like this. But, when you are more of hip hop head, your looking for those rhyme schemes, but No 1 can hold, bend, space, pause etc. The way he can. It allows him to write schemes & bars, that on paper doesn't rhyme & ish most wouldn't even think to write his bars because they can't manipulate words like he can. He has no boundaries

One of the smaller things that I love about this song is the line "I don't want to go forth and back in constant battles." The expression in English is typically "Back and Forth," and the way he just casually flips it like that is telling. He does something similar in the music video of "Without Me" with the lines, "But sometimes this shit just seems, Everybody only wants to discuss me, So this must mean I'm disgusting, But it's just me I'm just obscene!" The lyrics appear on screen like in a Karaoke song, and he uses his fingers to point like the smiley ball that hops over each word. Thing is, lines 2 and 4 are "reversed" on screen.
