When my family and I watched Encanto, we made so many theories about it. One was that Mirabel was like Abuela, and Abuela didn't want Mirabel to be like her, so she made Mirabel kinda like an outcast.

Kids understand more than you think and I love that they didn't do the typical princess thing and made it more realistic for children in real life exposing them to family problems more obviously than frozen etc

i saw this movie when i was like 22y (last year) i dont have kids but i have 2 little sisters (now 21 and 18) and Luisas preasure song made me cry, i was like on the floor crying my eyes out bc that is what i feel.
