So this is the story of a monsoon day spent at a little homestay in the village of Papersalli near Almora in Uttarakhand. A lazy day plus some close shave encounters - as they say a lot can happen in the mountains :)
Considering the current situation, it makes sense to stay away from the crowds, somewhere accessible yet quiet and peaceful. So thats why leaving Nainital, Bhimtal & Almora behind, my home for a few days will be in the little known village of Papersali.
Although reaching this bnb is bit of a challenge, but if staying away from the crowd is your priority, then this is the place.

It's true that Uttarakhand is opening up for tourism, but is it safe to travel during Covid. Well we are not here to give you GYAAN on travelling amidst pandemic. But it goes without saying that if possible please avoid travelling for some more time. Still if you have to, please travel responsibly - not only for your own sake but for others as well.

You are so right. Off season is the best time to enjoy the mountains. Nature calms, is so soothing and relaxing. The divine fragrance of the forests is undoubtedly mesmerising. I do visit Himachal and Uttarakhand whenever I find time.

This is really a thrilling experience..Moving around woods to seek heavenly pleasure seems to be an ultimate goal of your life.. Although, you guys had a peek into wilderness to spot leopard at a short sight, nevertheless, it was enough to be to get scared..You never know how fast leopard can pounce on you in such a secluded place.. Abhishek..some how you could manage to escape from there..The injury will heal in some time, but this experience will haunt you for some time..Anyways...it is a part and parcel of life on such expedition...Nice to see you making egg pizza... Superb video...

I usually skip bits when watching travel vlogs....most people seem to be focusing more on themselves (annoying selfie angles, awkward scenes of themselves getting ready). Your videos are off-beat and honest. Don't change anything. It's like a breath of fresh air. Love the honest story-telling, no pretence of mountain romanticism which people fake for some reason. Each episode feels real and beautiful. And amazing cinematography. Applause for whoever is behind that.

You said the cottage was basic, I think sometimes you feel ecstasy in preliminary as long as you have basic necessities available, is like uniting with simplicity. Even I romanticize mountains is the reason why I'm so addicted to your channel. Would you like to leave urban lifestyle and settle down on the mountains? I remember someone told me that if you accidentally meet a tiger in your trail, then never turn back, instead look into the tiger's eyes and go backwards before you show your back and run away, this was when I was in Tadoba years ago....is this true?.... he said the wild animal is as afraid of humans as how humans are afraid of wild animals.
