So sorry about your ducks Re: frozen water. Wash out milk jugs or 2 liter pop bottles then fill halfway with water. Put caps on & float in tank. It will keep a hole in ice so animals can drink

CAREFUL OF THE HEATING LAMPS. The red lamps are a real FIRE HAZARD. Ensure they are secured tightly to the fencing so that they don't fall into the hay starting an immediate fire. Also, if you can screen the bulb so that hay doesn't touch/ fly up and land on the bulb (it will start smouldering and catch fire). Literally, if you have some old window screen you can protect the bulb with that.

I live in Germany where little ponds freeze every winter. So this is what home owners do in order to prevent the garden pond from freezing: You place something floating and moving on the water, this will prevent the ice from forming. In garden centers here, you can buy them. They are made of plastic or styrofoam, some are shaped like balls, frogs or water lillies. Some are passive, moving only with the wind. Others have a solar panel and a little propeller that moves it. You can place a pump in the water that pumps water or air, thereby moving the surface of the water and preventing freezing. Then there are pond heaters which are basically a hose that you place in the water.

Winter was always the hardest part of the year for our farms sorry for your loss. I noticed a lot of frozen water they make water heaters specifically for the winter if you wanted to check those out.

It was so cold SO COLD I almost got frostbite it was -2 degrees and that was dangerous, but I went sliding on a pond of ice in my back yard and almost dislocated my knees, so that was fun....

Please put straw/hay down for the turkey and ostrich-their feet can get cold/frozen too,. Their feet/paws can freeze just like ours, and they always need protection. Thank you 🙏💕

Up North people with chickens and other smaller animals use 100w light bulbs, incandescent, as heat sources over cages. Now that 100w bulbs have benn banned cheap heat is impossible to find. But 100w light bulbs were the go to cheap heaters for small cages.

You've progressed so much since the last time i saw your videos !

I am so sorry to hear you lost animals to the cold. I realize it was not the norm there and came up very sudden, but you will plan it to be going forward. I hope this may help a bit plus even more modern ways to keep your animals temperate in heat/cold as insulation does (just cover so they dont eat it). We have a CAT that loves to eat those styrofoam peanuts or the like and have to keep that stuff away from her-she was a wild(very feral!) kit. Anyway, my 2 cents and hope it helps in any way or if I can help with cold weather questions-just ask my friend. Growing up in the norther area of Michigan on the farm and then Alaska we wired our chicken coops, burrow barn, horse/cow barns an dog houses with thick insulation-top/bottom w/wood floor covering)/sides and put either one or hundred watt or heat bulbs (more in the bigger barns) just so nothing could easily get burned or start a fire to keep the animals warm. We also aerated the water later but every morning/night at feeding time we carried hot water out to the water troughs for them. It would be consistently below zero and we would be snowed in at least a week or more during the winters far from town. Snow would drift over the house and barns (which actually helped insulate but had to be strong with the extra snow weight. All the animals with the blizzards and huge lake effect snow from the Great Lakes loved to stay in, be warm and have warm water to drink. It was a lot of work but you know we never let that stop us. I loved the farm and all our animals for as long as I can remember. They always had to be fed/watered before we ever ate no matter the weather. Keep doing what you are doing. Its an always learning thing in a farm/ranch/life. Stay safe and well.
