**Manga spoilers** the chainsaw devil is definitely not stronger than the darkness devil, I don't think anyone touches the 7 primal fear devils. Besides maybe Makima, even then she was just barely able to do enough to escape from hell to get away from the darkness devil. In part 2, The war devil says that she was weakened by the chainsaw devil because he ate part of her body and because he ate the WWII devil, erasing it from existence and eliminating a lot of fear surrounding war, weakening her even more. Side note and still major spoiler, Aki shouldn't be above Kishibe, wtf. If the power up that you're talking about is Aki becoming the gun fiend then that doesn't even count as Aki, he had completely lost himself at that point

Denji would become so much more powerful if Cosmo sent him to her library, think about denji is immortal so that would simply give him all of the knowledge there is to know in the universe that includes about himself and his devil, and after awhile he'd likely be able to talk again
