I am a Naga and I have witnessed the ethnic clash of the Nagas and Kukis of the early 1990s. Let's clear few things: 1. The clashed went on for about 2/3 years. But the scale of violence, the magnitude was much smaller than the ongoing violence between the Meiteis and the Kukis. 2. The clashed of the 1990's was militancy in nature. The general public were not that militarised. In other words, burning houses and killings were mainly done by their respective underground outfits ( Be it the Kukis or the Nagas) Public were mostly confined to guarding their villages and surroundings. In the present violence, the whole society is completely militarised. 3. In the 1990's clashed, places of worship were never attacked. Religion was kept out of it. 4. In the 1990's, besides one or two incident, children, women and old people were largely spared unlike the present one. It was kind of man to man war. 5. The state govt and it's machineries were not involved in the 1990's clashed. The present one is hatched and presided over by the state govt itself. Therefore, to compare the violence of 1990's with the violence of 2023 do not make any sense. They are totally different in every way.

Why meiter always blame Delhi, why not Biren? Is Biren a good person in the eyes of meiter for this violence? Do meitei need president rule to remove Biren?

1993 KUKI-NAGA Conflict is a misnomer term. Kuki had not fought Naga or Naga hadn't fought Kuki, rather it was NSCN - IM against Kukis as a whole. State Govt. plays the role of guardianship and restoration unlike the current situation where State govt. sided, supply, direct and aided one party. Their is no state govt but Meitei Centric Govt. That's the difference. NSCN - IM could not and should not be a representative of the whole Nagas Community by nature and structure, and share their shameful deeds to all the Nagas community. NSCN - IM selfish interest and greed political desire cause many lives of Kukis on the context of ethnic cleansing. No Naga or Kuki Civilians on the context of Naga Vs Kuki Conflict fought each other per se. There was rather rescue and rehabilitation movement on both sides community base on humanitarian ground by the CSO or individuals and family. In reality, NSCN-IM vs Kuki took place in 1993 and should not be termed as Naga vs Kuki 1993 conflicts. And Meitei State Government vs Kuki 2023 is a right term and is no way comparable to 1993's incident. This prevailing incident is a Civil war and an attempt to Ethnic Cleansing. This ethnic cleansing faced and experienced by Kukis is neither the first time nor certainly be the last unless political solution is the way forward. We never know until and unless Separate Administration under Article 3 of Indian Constitution (As rightful citizens who fought for the independence of India along with Subhas Chandra Bose) is granted for the Kukis by Govt. of India as token of gratitude and deserving rights historically and politically, for their dignity, prosperity and liberty of life, the future for the Kukis is even sad to think and ponder about as a citizen of India. The only possible way to live together is to live together as PEACEFUL NEIGHBOURS (as a consequence of Separate Administration) with mutual respect. There is no point of talking about Drug, Illegal immigrants, narco-terrorist to cover up and conceal their true intention of this violence. Because the 360+ churches in the heart of Imphal, 200+ villages, 7000+ houses burnt, 41000+ internally displaced persons and 185 death belongs to the Kukis (Indians citizens who served the country as government servants not terrorist) who were born and lived here in India since their forefather times. They are neither Burmese nor Illegal Immigrants. Why cleverly and dishonestly trying to divert the true sense and conceal the crux of this incidents? What is the point of lying to hide the other lies? Reservation is not the problem. SC - 15%, OBC - 27%, EWS - 10% are all benefited by just One community (Meitei) while the Kukis benefitted reservation from only ST - 7.5%. So, did Kukis had a lust for the other reservation of SC, OBC, EWS? while the other community who enjoy the lion share reservation have a lust for the one and only least remaining reservation ST. Now we know the sense of dissention against Meitei demanding ST status? Their demanding ST does not mean giving up SC, OBC, and EWS status, or giving a Kukis a share to OBC, EWS and SC reservation in combine. If this is not a pure greed and lust, what positive and progress demand are you expecting from this demand?

The way the manipur govt acts against the tribals is understandable given the fact that Biren himself is a part of movement against them. But one fails to understand the way the centre, who is supposed to be neutral, is behaving. The centre is supporting the meiteis against all odds, even to the extent of smearing its image both internally and externally. A jungle raj is prevailing, all semblance of law and order disappeared, militants with sophisticated arms roam the street of capital city flaunting their weapons with impunity while the so called security forces have to look the other way, unable to do anything tangible. Those weapons themselves are suspected to have come from looted state armoury of which there seems no real will to recover. Still, Biren Singh, the most incompetent CM to preserve rule is being preserved despite failing on all sides. There is no more fitting case for president rule, yet the centre seems to have its own agenda , may be inline with the state govt. If manipur situation is not a fit case for declaration of PR, then its provision itself in the constitution may well be abolished as we may never find a more fit case in the future. Everthing is now suspect.

The former Chief Minister, though Meitei, prioritized the welfare of all, including the Kuki and Naga minorities. This inclusive environment facilitated peaceful coexistence and flourishing businesses, benefiting from opportunities brought by globalization. However, since the BJP assumed power, the new Chief Minister's hunger for power has led to divisive tactics. Land grabs targeting tribal territories, particularly those inhabited by the Kuki, are justified by baseless accusations of illegal immigration and involvement in narcotics. These claims serve as pretexts for state-backed attacks on the Kuki community. The Manipur state government has exploited more than 6,000 guns, 14,400 bombs, and 6 lakh ammunition in attacking the Kukis. Moreover, the CM's actions have exacerbated communal tensions, eventually resulting in clashes between the Meitei majority and Kuki minority. Consequently, these once-interconnected communities are now fragmented, facing geographical, political, and demographic divides. The hatred has escalated to such an extent that frequent incidents of rape, naked parading, brutal murders, killings, and chopping off heads or hands of the Kukis have occurred. Not to mention the burning of more than 10,000 of their houses and vehicles, all total worth 10,000 crores approx. All these occur as a result of targeting the Kuki minority community by the powerful Meitei majority in Manipur, with support from the BJP governments.
