There have been. Musashi springs to mind. That one viking axeman who killed 80 English men on a bridge. Sun Tzu. Guan Yu. No doubt other great men in European history who because they weren't nobles never got fame, unless you go back to Greek pankration or the Roman gladiatorial games, you find a few legendary warriors. Audie Murphy. But we won't live to see another, not like anyways

@jacobsee4196
@jacobsee4196 Жыл бұрын
That is super debatable. All the evidence suggested that he had a major dependence on cocaine. When one has a substance abuse problem (not someone who used drugs snd then got off of them because of a mistake, but someone who finds it nearly impossible to stop even if the consequences are tearing their lives apart) when somebody has this issue, it points to deep emotional issues that stem from some kind of trauma, struggle, or other subconscious issue that the individual has an incredibly difficult time accepting and living with. So, I'm just saying with his alleged cocaine dependence, it seems like he was suffering internally. Dealing with things that he could not overcome. If that is in fact the case then, what you said about him living life to the fullest and not just "existing" is false. Having a psychological chemical dependence, actively indulging on its whims, without taking the necessary time, developing the discipline and patience to deal with it, and procrastinating the issue hoping it will fix itself is (in my opinion) the definition of just "existing" lol sorry for the long response, but this one hit home for me.

Bruce Lee and my Sifu trained under the same man: grandmaster Wong Shen-Leung. Before Bruce's death, Wong Sigung would invite him over for tea and to test their respective techniques against each other. Wing chun vs jeet kune do, respectively. To this day, nobody knows what exactly they would test against each other or who would win their bouts, but the fact that Wong Sigung still held Bruce in such high regard as a martial artist tells me all I need to know.

Master Bruce Lee's philosphy in fighting is so advanced that even up to this date, people have yet to understand his own understanding in fighting. Well, I don't know about some of those records they claim. But I do know Guro Dan had been flattened by him on several occasions (in sparring and Dan was a golden glove) and he still says Bruce was the fastest person he has ever seen. For instance here are some semi quotes from Dan: There may be many more people that were more skilled at Wing Chun (Btw, Bruce never achieved beyond brown sash before coming to USA under Yip Man.); but his first shot was so shocking and devastating that was all it took. Dan also said, Bruce did stuff and trained every inch of his body and no one else could even train like that. But, he was extra gifted to. You would show him something and he would be doing it as good as you ever could the next day. (Escrima sticks are a perfect example Dan gave.) Finally he advocated vertical punches but from boxing in Jun Fan trains AT THAT TIME (as Dan always says it was a point in time and with JKD it is alive and changing). But, many many mma/ufc fighter are relying on the vertical fist in the boxing now starting back when Chuck Liddel was around. Also, we adapted in training under Dan to fighting left and right sides forward not all just one side. Look at how long it has taken the UFC...but now fighters are doing that. 🥋🥊

Also theres no doubt that hel get dropped from time to time its fighting after all haha. Hes not like a god or something but hes truly special. Im still curious of what he would think of the best combat sport right now, mma. After all he was the first person to ever showcase a similar scene to mma back in 1973. Like damn he predicted mma.

+Gabriel Correia Cameras were fine in those days...it's just that some films have degraded over time due to being cheap to begin with and poor storage conditions...heat, humidity chemical degradation etc. After all we can find many professional movies from the turn of the last century to be very clear and of high resolution. Again...due to storage, care and quality. The cameras...even cheap handheld home-movie cameras of the 40s 50s and 60s...could produce pretty decent stuff. Not the camera's fault. Yeah it's too bad there aren't better films of Bruce...I agree.
