They really do need to make more Wesley Blade statues. This is the only one I’ve even heard about and Blade 1 and 2 are still classics in my eyes. Best fit for a Marvel character ever.

Mr x. This would be a grail piece for me. I was going to ask you where can I reach out to get a custom one myself but I waited to see if you spoke to that throughout the video. Whilst listening I scrolled the comments and was equally entertained by the guy who keeps trying to buy this statue from you and won’t listen when u say “not for sale”. I’m in tears. He said $1k and u said $5k and he proceeds to argue and you’re like “I told u not for sale” and he starts two more posts making offers. 🤣🤣🤣 Side-note: would’ve been so dope with a fang portrait swap out. I wish they’d license Blade to be officially produced.

Are the wet spots sticky? I know a bunch of thee kits were really shitty and had leaching resin. If they are sticky your statue may be leaching uncured resin.

Even with the defects, I would totally get that statue. I am a big BLADE fan and think Wesley Snipes did a FANTASTIC job in the movies. Something else that should factor into the value of that particular statue is that BLADE was the FIRST actual Marvel Studios film and technically kicked off their success.

I love blade but hate that he kills vampires even though he's half, if he hated evil vampires that would be fine but he's hates all vampires.

I'm pretty sure this was made out of cold cast porcelain. Companies were using this some 10 years ago or so and it's a really shitty material. The wet spots are where the material is weeping because it wasn't mixed well enough before it was poured. I love Blade and I still think it's awesome. Those eyes need some work though.

Use "blue" tek mate! But really you can buy it in any colour, only a very small of it holds the statue together very nicely but if you ever wanna sell it you still can disassemble it! I used it many times and it always worked. For tighter seams for example the arms or hands try double sided tape, that works well too!

Based on look this one getting prime score from me. I have never seen a better statuette of Snipes.

Great review. The legs in the base, weak magnets and shoulder seams always bothered me. I got the legs in the base fixed so it was stable. But by that time I was ok with selling him. It was about $450 and only as a kit. Paid another $400 or more to get him painted.

It’s such a pity when statues have wonderful aspects but are held back because of stupid choices, like here with the magnets & choice of material. Not having strong enough magnets is just such a stupid choice, because how much are a few little magnets? They can’t be expensive. And I always thought polystone & resin were pretty much the same thing, I thought polystone was a type of resin. Would you not get the issues fixed? Repaint & would it be possible to fit better magnets?

This figure was only sold as a kit... i added stronger magnets to mine and modified the base so that everything fit perfect.... the seams we modified to fit tight an the paint is all lacquer based... i can repaint your statue so that it looks more realistic.

What a shame this guy is marred with so many issues. He'd be an X without them. It's pretty bad when you're too afraid to move or even clean a statue. Do you think the paint chips are more the fault of the statue itself or maybe the painter didn't seal it properly or something? I wonder if the "wet spots" are glue someone was attempting to fix it with? Or maybe that sealer stuff. The portrait is spot on, the switch outs are great. He's a cult favorite character now days with those movies. I wonder if the Mahershala Ali Blade movie coming up will bump this statues value at all?

Dude, i think you just copped a "lemon" version of this statue... my one is near perfect, its chip free, no paint issues, fitment if perfect, magnets are fine, no leaning issues! The other issue you have is the way his head is facing, yours seems to be tilted down slightly, its not sitting the way it should be... I would really like to know who assembled and painted your statue

Great sculpt, shitty producer and questionable castings haunted this piece. Same producer that did the Punisher Vs. Walking Dead custom kit that I did 2 of. I was blocked and banned from the group after complaining about the quality of the kit. Pretty sure Henry Stewart painted this one in like 1 day. Should take at least a week or 2 in order to fix everything and do the paint right. It's too bad too becuase the sculpt is so good
