Creating and painting - 65cm Blade Daywalker Wesley Snipes 3D Printed prop Marvel

Today I'm painting this awesome 3D printed Blade figure from 3DFigurePrints. This is printed at 200% (65cm in height) on my Transform, Elegoo Saturn, and Elegoo Mars Pro.

You're the first modeler that actually takes care of real prep work on a 3D print that I've seen, like actually sanding where the supports were, I'm guessing print lines too because I see a completely smooth surface and also taking care of gaps in between the parts. Excellent work! More 3D printing ppl need to take their time in doing this, what's the point of spending dozens of hours printing a model if they're just gonna print it straight out without any prep? I hate it! It looks horrible, even if your painting skills are beginner or intermediate, the surface should always look smooth, regardless of your skill level 😊

Hello Leona, Thank you for your feedback and I cannot praise enough how much I appreciate your feedback. It is indeed sometimes a pain in the ass to get every 3D print perfect and smooth. I strive for perfection and treat every project as if it were my own. Personally I hate sanding and I want to start gluing all the parts together and start painting right away. Most of them out there do so but not me. Sanding in the beginning is important for the end result and many skip this step. So not me ;-)

Very cool Blade statue, great assembly and painting. I wonder if Wesley Snipes has something like this to display? The new Blade film hopefully by 2023.

i love you'r vids but i liked on some previous video's you showed the paint type and brand on the screen , but still love you'r vids bud!

Hi Robert, I use normal SuperGlue (Pattex or Tec7) for this, and if needed an activator so it sets quick. Cheers DB

Hi Marijan, For this I've used my Transform 4K, Saturn and Mars Pro all together to speed things up. This is printed at 200% size. Cheers DB
