Because of how the damage negation formulas work, there become significant diminishing returns when wearing heavy armor in the dlc since the scadutree fragments give you so much damage resist as is

I think those talismans are more important. I'd recommend Golden Braid (DLC), and the Dragoncrest Greatshild (Main Game) though, but Pearldrake +3 and Talisman of the Dread are a must

A lot of people mistaken the effect of the fire, holy and lightning scorpion charms. You do 12% more damage in that category but take 10% more of ALL damage overall. Not just fire damage

Buffs: Golden Vow, flame grant, biggest HoT incant, health and flame/stonebarb physiks, boiled crab. Talismans: Erdtree favor, blood exultation, dragoncrest greatshield, old lord. Attack incants: black blade, stone of gurranq, black flame, crucible incants for any spare spaces.

I LOVE THIS BUILD! Beat rhadagon and Elden beast on ng+5 with this. No stress, could prob switch out a drake shield talisman for the attack boost at full health to. If we deal more damage do we get more HP back from ash of war?

10% Max HP on hit. Also since you are using it to get back to full in half the attacks I don't think the ritual sword is worth it over the durability for the marathon of a fight

Turns out not on ng+ here and not really getting 30% damage reduction.. That is unless all boss attacks are set to 135% damage then the maths adds up perfectly

It was nerfed( the AoW doesn't knock down) but with the new talisman will give a bigger damage boost. In my opinion for pvp the knock down was a thumbs down. Now I can still give another hit/spell or incant which I can punish more with it

Also, ive only made it from the starting grace and completed belurat and back to the 3 paths cross.. i also explore everything completely in each area before moving on, but still.. and im lvl 192, blood beastmans curved swrods with 85 strength and 55 arcane, im on first playthrough but i am melting everything with those curved swords more than any other weapon in the game, the close 2nd best weapon in blood rotten battle hammer with wild strikes, unstoppable
