Coney, there are tons of videos out there on Angel Hernandez, if you want to know why fans cheer when he gets hit, you can find out why pretty easily. The MLB once legally proved that they didn’t give him more responsibility during seasons because he’s very very bad at his job. It’s hilarious

@@lurrielee2755 There's only so many umpires, and they're all in the same union. Normally I'm a union guy, but the umpire system as it is now is absolutely wack and the union has to protect the status quo. That's why the MLB had to legally prove that Angel Hernandez was unfit to umpire high-stakes games like the World Series, because otherwise the union contract would make it so someone like him with so much tenure would basically be a sure pick.

Yeah lmao he was complaining thag the mlb wasn’t letting him ump World Series games for some bs reason like they were being racist (not that that doesn’t happen it just wasn’t true in this scenario) and he tried to sue the mlb for it and so the mlb had to legally prove that he was bad at his job

Everytime I see one of these videos and they say stuff like "shoes are banned due to being distracting" or "tattoos gotta go, to distracting" it makes me think that MLB players/coaches are like 5 year olds that get distracted by someone dangling keys.

@@ajkcool they are a control style deck focusing on trap effects and gaining card advantage against the opponent as the game professes, I'd say an otk is one of the harder things to accomplish with the deck

Fun fact about the Eddie Gaedel bit. He was told not to swing. The owner told him he had insured Gaedel's life for $1m and that he would be shot from the roof of the stadium if he did swing.

7:20 the only reason I can see for doing this is that it's a partial distraction. I played baseball in 8th grade, and I remember the ear flab being a slight bit uncomfortable, and partly distracting. I doubt changing it would have helped me much considering I was fat and relatively weak, but I can definitely see why someone would do it.

I got in trouble in minor league for trying to switch stances mid game for both pitching and batting, since I'm cross dominant (not ambidextrous). Nothing really happened, they just told me I have to pick one since it's against the rules for some reason

13:10 I'm guessing umpires do that because they are upset and want to reestablish their place in the pecking order, haha. What conclusion did you come to? I'll keep watching the video to find out. All these rules are wild. But they just go to show: "if you're not cheatin', you're not tryin'". Sports are like warfare in that sense it seems. Good sportsmanship goes out the window when payrolls are on the line.

Other examples is a football kicker born without a foot meant he could kick harder than anyone else and amputees are lighter and thus can run and swim faster. There are legitimate arguments that physical disabilities provide unfair advantages in some sports. Ableism is necessary in the name of fairness.
