Cheating is always funny to look back on. In yugioh there was a deck called infernity that worked by having no cards in your hand to activate broken af effects, and to empty their hands sometimes players would set monsters in the spell/trap card zone. If you destroy that card somehow the infernity player would just forfeit the game so they wouldn't get dqed for cheating lol

One time I played against a cheater in Smash 4 3DS for glory who played villager and got 3 turnips on up air and dair every single time. He did probably 30-40 upairs and dairs over the few games we played and every single one gave 3 turnips. Not sure if there was some sort of exploit or if he somehow hacked his 3DS to give him perfect turnip odds.

Been a while since playing Dota 2 but pause abuse was actually surprisingly rare. It's always funny when there's a pause for someone to go smoke though

So the latest Dota major last weekend was in Peru. Whenever a Peruvian team was playing, the audience would start whistling every time the enemy team used a smoke (which hides your teammates from wards until you get too close to an enemy hero) so the Peruvian team would immediately know that the enemy team is coming to surprise attack them.

In Halo Infinite, a lot of people were geo filtering (especially OCE) due to just wanting to play in their own region instead of always playing with Americans

I still think KQLY's shot in CSGO is totally possible (did something almost exactly and clipped it), just the reaction time is just less likely since it was almost instant. As for VP's Dota 2 thing by swapping out a player during pause, how did they figure out they swapped a player in, since I assume the matches were online and not offline? Idk how prominent it is still now (if at all), but when CSGO betting was huge, I remember teams just throwing for a huge payout on those betting sites and making profit. Would be a fun idea to visit those kinds of videos that show teams throwing for a bigger payout outside of the tournaments they're participating in.

Life wasn’t throwing matches. He was throwing individual games in best of 3/5/7 matches, and then winning the match. Life is one of the greatest SC2 players ever. His scandal really hurt the Korean scene permanently.

Pauses usually happen in Smite when the games shitty servers lead to players disconnecting to give the player time to reconnect. It happens all the time. The best part of pausing though is that you can spam your laugh or taunt emotes during the pause and all of the sounds happen at the same time when the game resumes. It's also a thing players vote to do in a menu.

The craziest part about the Bike guy’s case was that he won the actual tournament legitimately (as far as I am aware). And he literally cheated just to unlock the bike.

Years ago I had a similar "got hacked but, got the account back better than it was taken" lol. My League account got hacked and I didn't sort it out for like a year or more because I just didn't play the game anymore. A friend asked me to play and fair play to Riot, I sent a ticket and that same day I got the account back. When I lost it my highest rank was like Silver 2. When I got it back I was in Diamond lmao.

Smite just had a cheating incident where a player was using a script to track enemy relic timers. It was literally just a timer for 170 seconds, (3 mins - 10seconds) and yes its thats simple litterally everyone can do this in there head, except this player apparently. you even see the in game timer so its not like its hidden. Anyway this guy got found out because he used it during the recent LAN tournament and uninstalled it, but forgot to empty the recycle bin. The next team came up to play and the player while waiting for everyone to get ready, noticed the script in the recycling bin, notified the tournament advisors.

Dota pauses can be unpaused by anyone but theres a time limit before theyre able to be unpaused by the enemy team if someone on your team has disconnected

Pausing in Dota is basically everyone on your team spamming pause for the person who DCed or had to go AFK and the entire enemy team spamming the button to unpause. Pauses when someone DCs last 30 seconds until they can be unpaused while if they aren't DCed it's like 2 seconds and every player has a cooldown on their individual pause. Surprisingly no one really abuses pauses in Dota like they won't just randomly use it whenever it's off cooldown and if someone DCs usually the enemy team is pretty good about at least waiting a little bit to see if they come back.

I remember one time I decided to play WOW again after not playing for 2+ years. Found that my password wasn't working and my email was changed too somehow. I had to go through all kinds of stuff with Blizzard on the phone to authenticate it was me. When I finally logged back in, I found one of the characters I had just started was max level, professions were maxed and I had a TON of Mats and gold!

Pausing is so funny in dota. It has a 5 second count down so people pause as they're killing someone and they try and time it with the kill to bm.

The e-cycling thing is stupid on many levels. The developers made the tron bike the best in the game. Not even that it has a top tier ability. It literally pedals faster than all the others. They also didn't let players pick whatever bike they wanted, they had to grind to get it. The cheater installed an auto pedaler to get the bike and then won the tournament fairly. After realizing how much of a sham the tournament was, he made a video explaining what he did and how he likely wasn't the only one to do it. The league then fined and banned him, and the scene never really recovered.

As someone who used to be Cal-I back inb4 all that esports bull (I feel like a boomer, help lmao) our team used to host and run a cheaters only server with no valve VAC on and us just with our custom coding hacks we created (We were a bunch of nerdy ass teens in HS computer class learning coding.) We never went out to bash pubs, never cheated in our scrims, but I can guarantee that we were not the only ones.

16:00 coney geofilter isnt really hard or require "hacking". think of it like downloading a VPN that tells the server I am in CA while queuing against players in NY, but in reality I am in chicago or texas where the match ends up being host for example... Not sure how it applies to these games since I only have experience with RL and LoL that don't really have these kinds of issues

I have no idea why, but this has become my comfort video. I’ve revisited it more than I would care to admit. It’s just so well executed being a well paced, dynamic, interesting, passionate with a touch of humor, thought out video. It’s no secret that Coney is a ridiculously dedicated dude but this brought it to a new level. This video feels like an incredibly fascinating and encompassing movie with a documentary touch. Amazing video and huge props to everyone who worked on it, the time it must’ve taken to make this definitely payed off.

if I remember right there's only two games I got banned from a free-to-play game on PC so guy get on my account I don't know how but yeah they cheated a bunch I get banned they did not get ban they transfer my goods basically made it look like I cheated cant get my stuff back the second one I got ban on xbox 360 Gears of War 3 when it first came out there was a mod menu some kind of JTAG mod where they can modded lobbies basically like the Call of Duty style when they join the game they are unlocked some stuff when I realized what happened when the first happened to me I reported it to xbox I called and told them when it first happened this part scared me the guy told everyonein game enjoy your ban the first time it happened to reset everything and thank God I did not get banned I even lost all of my goods I got from the beta but I was fine I didn't get banned a week or two later it happened again I even recorded on my channel a long time ago and a couple years later I got banned from Xbox Live a bunch of people got banned for being Black Ops 2 modded lobbies public libraries where you join public I guess the guy was live streaming Microsoft employee was watching it if you didn't leave the game you were permanent ban the worst part I found out the mod they were using was infinite ammo my whole team did not have that basically they ban they were cheating on their side I had a big argument over the phone with Microsoft with that 2 hours before I got banned I put it in a year xbox live gold on my account I wasted $60 for gold and lost a items and limited edition items I paid for after that I found out how to get free Xbox Live from xbox and I promoted people modded lobbies

how is it cheating to view the stream of your rival while you play aginst them? If you don't want to broad cast to the world, don't fucking broadcast.. record it and post it later. I personally don't see a problem.. it's like back in the OLD DAYS when you played couch co-op..you could just look at your opponent's portion of the screen.. duh!!! why was that cheating? Oh right, it wasn't.
