We did something similar in youth comp when I was probably about 14. As soon as we scored to go up, we all beelined back to the bench and just sat down looking straight ahead. Even being 31 now, it still routinely makes me laugh thinking about it

For those just discovering the PWHL it was a really epic inaugural season, and it's finally a league that has all the best players in the world together. A little slower and more tactical than the NHL, which is maybe nice for people who don't watch that much hockey. Hopefully the scoring will go up a little more as the league develops.

@tacticalpossum70908 күн бұрын
Its so odd that people say its "more tactical". No it isnt, the rules are a little different and the gameplay may change in some minute circumstances accordingly. A spade is a spade, it has nowhere near the skill level of the NHL, and "tactics" are one of those skills.
@carterbrock79718 күн бұрын
@@tacticalpossum7090 That makes no sense. NHL players are faster, stronger, etc, but smarter? There’s no reason that would be true. Also I said “more tactical” not “better tactics”. The tactical aspect of the game plays a more important role. The NHL has existed for over a century, and the tactics have had all that time to evolve. In that sense it may be more “solved” but that doesn’t mean the tactics are more important.
@tacticalpossum70908 күн бұрын
@@carterbrock7971 I didnt say that they were smarter. As you said, ths game is faster, stronger, etc. If anything this requires faster adaptation. The game, as mentioned, continues to evolve. This is universal. What people usually say is that mens hockey and womens hockey have some differences is how they must be played because of the small rule differences, and because women and men have physical differences there may be some plays or skills that can be more suited to one or the other. That doesnt make women's hockey more tactical.
