I am Little Anthony's eldest son. I want to thank you for reacting to my father's songs 'Tears On My Pillow'. It is always refreshing to see younger generations liking his songs. Go down the rabbit hole. He was inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. He still tours the country mostly on the east coast. Thank you again for your kind words. I will show him this reaction.

"Tears On My pillow" (1958). "Hurt So Bad," (1957) "Going Out of My Head," (1959) "Shimmy Simmy Ko Ko Bop," (1954) are just a few of their hits done back in the 50's. This great song shows how great Little Anthony and the Imperials were. Great reaction as always.

Hurt so Bad and Goin Out If My Head was not in The 50’s but “1964, during the early 60’s with Teddy Randazzo leading them out of that Doo Wop sound and when they had their best music. Including those 2 songs, “I’m on The Outside Looking In,” “Hurt,” “Never Again” and several others

Before the mid 90s you had to really be able to sing, to be a singer. There was no autotune. You either had talent or you didn’t. That’s why music before mid 90s and earlier sounds so much better than music now.

First time I heard this song, I went right out and bought the album. Still have it. The lyrics are grand (not one "baby- baby), his beautiful voice so clearly enunciates each lyrical hearfelt word with emotion (the term Soul was still in the future) and clarity. Little Anthony and the magnificent Imperials were class, class, class personified on the stage.

All the babies born after WW2 from the millions of love starved warriors returning after the war created the biggest babby boom ever and by 1958 the first ones were post pubecence, and romance was in all their young hearts. By 1960 I was 13 born in 47 and all my friends and I were dancing close to the girls at our weekly dances that were held in every corner of the country. The music spoke of our puppy love and sweet affection for the opposite sex. It was our drive to procreate that fueled the music of the 50s and 60s more so than any other era IMO.
