They need a divers extension or full glide lock adjust clasp. Remove the "Limited edition" and place their own model name. Lastly, they need a little logo of their own at the 12 o-clock because I find the dial slightly sterile without that small touch, but over all a pretty amazing watch for the price. 7.9 out 10 from me. 10 out of 10 review.

Very balanced review as always. Its nice to see Seestern are actually listening to feedback and acting very quickly to remedy concerns. I might wait on a V2 and see if they swap out the clasp. The triple side by side would be a hit Im sure.

Kudos to Seestern for fixing the clasp issue! I purchased the Octopus Oct-10 and there was no clasp issue other than the fact I'd love to have seen more than 3 holes of adjustment. One of the things I truly like about both watches is the fact that they beveled the bottom edge of the case (look at 5:30 in the video). This eliminates the bottom edge of the case from digging into the wrist. Very subtle, but it works. I purchased the San Martin "Pelagos' homage at the same time, and, as much as I love it, the bottom edge of the case digs into my wrist (as do most all SM's divers when worn snugly). I hope you can obtain all three of these watches for comparison, I'd love to see that! Thanks for the update, appreciate it!

its just crazy how they decided it was ok to release this to the market like that. and now their solution is just to drill 2 more holes next to the existing ones... They went the extra mile and used the no date movement, so the could have easily work out a proper clasp too to avoid their usual version 2 / version 3 deal.

I own the san martin "pelagos" and the watch has some sharp edges and the crystal AR coating is weak to the point of the dial not being visible on extreme angles. It was a mistake on my own because I feel the dial was a nice fusion of both Pelagos and the clasp is quite nice.

If the decide to make a larger one, I hope they go for the full 42mm case. I think that would have them well positioned for the larger watch/smaller watch crowds.

Seems to be a pretty accurate copy, which is impressive given the fine details like the radially brushed bezel insert and the subtle sunray dial on the original. But a dead giveaway that this isn't the real deal, are the endlinks and the profile of the lugs. Corners have (literally) been cut on the machining and finishing of those, giving them a rounded and less crisp appearance. This has a big visual impact and instantly lowers the perceived quality. Based on the first video's and photo's, Octopus did a better job at this. So I'm looking forward to a direct comparison between the two.

I still think the octopus kracken is the better option. It has a PT5000, a fully articulating bracelet and the clasp is ok, all for the same price.

I think the Octopus logo text on the dial itself is a massive put- off for me. The San Martin I haven't seen. Would be good though, I love the Pelagos but can't afford one so a comparison between the 3 best homages would be excellent!

I believe Seestern is the best Aliexpress brand out there. Glad they addressed it. It’s not ideal but glad they addressed it so quickly. (Edit) forgot to add I’m definitely looking forward to the steel version.

You would be hard pressed to find anything wrong with a San Martin. Better quality than Seiko's main and premium ranges. Excluding Grand Seiko of course.

Nice review! Drilling another hole in the clasp is not really fixing the problem! Now there are just a bunch of unsightly holes in the clasp! This is just a temporary fix. They need to completely redesign the clasp and give us something much better and much closer to the original watch. I've seen a review and pictures of the Octopus Kraken and they do not have this problem. I wish Seestern had told you what they're going to do for all of us that have already bought the watch. Are they going to send us out a free clasp? I hope so!

They will send you one out, but only if you ask for one. They aren't going to do it automatically.

I think they did a clean run so all being sold are v2, they also sent out v2 clasps to buyers

This looks great, but ruined by that italic "Titanium" on the upper part of the dial and "LIMITED EDITION" on the bottom part. It would look cleaner and nicer without that unnecessary text. Usually Seestern nails the branding, and keeps text minimal, but not in this case. I would consider only a dial version without those 2 text elements.

I doubt that is going to happen. This is an homage of a Tudor and that watch was only made in Titanium.

I received mine today and i am very disappointed, there is no NH38 inside, but a NH35. So Seetstern is too cheap to use the movement they are advertising.

@@TheWatcherReviews I sorted the problem with Seestern, i got a partial refund for the wrong movement. The say that it is probably a mixup and i received the watch with the Seagull movement. I can't verify it without opening the watch.

@@auskenner yeh the latter makes sense, you can easily tell as the seagull is hi-beat and beats at 8 ticks per second
