Thanks for pointing this out- as a former Packer and now Jets fan- the Packers defense and special teams are the cause for only one SB title for ARod. I lived through all of the heartbreak losses and now so glad 8 is a Jet! I’ll take Jets front office and GM any day.

Yeah and that rook CJ Stroud talking trash saying "I'd rather have Eli cuz look at the rings" and then saying "Yeah Stafford has same number of rings but if they switched situations he'd have more than A Rod" lmaoooo yeah if Rodgers had a Giants defense that was shutting down teams and forcing lot of turnovers and holding the greatest offence ever (at the time) to merely 14 pts, he'd have won 2 rings. I love how he doesn't talk about situations for Eli vs A Rod but for A Rod vs Stafford he's like "situation" lmao yeah cuz Stafford gonna win many rings with a defense that allows 34 ppg in the playoffs lmao

I always make this point. The one year he had a good defense he won. Every other year his defense would lose the game that he just decided to pop off

One other fun fact about rodgers in the playoffs.... Anytime he has gotten the ball under 2 minutes he's either tied it or scored. Never been stopped. There's been a couple times where he hasn't been clutch in the 5-6 minute range. But generally speaking the defense couldn't stop the run well enough to get him one last shot at scoring(or gave up a score in OT). Happened in these years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2020, 2021 I swear he's not as un clutch as people say... but not Mahomes or Brady level or clutch

Over the years Ive always believed the defense needed to win us one game in the playoffs to make the SB. It just didn't happen outside of the 2010 NFCCG. Rodgers hasn't been perfect but there has been plenty of Brady stinkers that the Pats have won. Hopefully not too late for Arod. Hoping for big things for the Jets this year

Yep the worst 30 minutes in my sports fandom... really sucks man because if we go to the Super Bowl and beat Brady rodgers has 2 rings to Brady's 3. Really the turning point in his career. Not to mention we gave up a fake field goal touchdown in the same game

I mean look back at his MVP years too, his special teams and defense constantly let him down. To be fair, he didn't have fantastic postseason performances either.

Has Rodgers ever had a defense like ours? A couple of years may have been close but you put his caliber QB with this defense that has been ballin' trying to hold up QBs like Zach Wilson and Trevor Simian ... Rodgers should get us out of some situation and this defense should be able to put our offense in some really nice situations. I am cautiously optimistic (and I really hate saying that as a Jets fan). Our defense has been gassed far too often over the past three years. Just imagine them being able to really pin their ears back with a lead like 20 - 10 mid way through the 3rd quarter.

The year the Packers won the SB with him, he had an elite defense. Not saying that translates to anything with the Jets but yeah, it could bode well for us.

I used to work with a huge packers fan. He hated Rodgers the last few years but he 100% agreed that Rodgers at some point was basically carrying the team to the playoffs every year. They consistently failed to replace key players and give him a complete team. He just got a little bit too old to be able to overcome the deficiencies of the rest of the team. It's what it is.

I’m a packer fan, and I know many people like this. The shame of it is most packer fans let false narratives affect their opinion of him as a person or player. But anybody saying he was any significant part of the reason they never won another SB is just a hater…look at the numbers…he has been a great playoff QB objectively.

I one hundred percent agree. NFL QB’s are not starting pitchers. Even starting pitchers in baseball can’t totally be blamed for their wins and losses, but an NFL QB can’t control their defense etc. All that said, AR in GB had arguably the best WR in football. He also had one of the best offensive lines. He does not have this at the Jets. Along with not having this he also has one of the worst game day coached in Saleh. Saleh has already caused unneeded issues. Hoping the line can be average and Saleh and Douglas realize that in this situation they report to AR and not the other way around.

Rodgers had an awful 55.8 QB rating in that playoff game vs the Seahawks, so not exactly a good example. Regardless, this game seemed pretty rigged with all the shenanigans which transpired.
