Wow, I looked up Gordon Duffy & was surprised to learn he was from Hanford, a town connected to a woman I became executor of her estate. When she died, I returned her to Hanford. I wonder how his pin ended up under that tree???---Steamed Hamburgers? What the heck is that all about!---So many great photos today. Have you seen the photos of the Highline Bridge in Valley City North Dakota? I've seen a video from the engine. Uff da, would take a leap of faith to start out over that expanse!---Those fellas working on the hanging clock in your first photo all looked so relaxed up there!---Your "honest to Pete" had me chuckling!

I'm always amazed by what the 900 and 10X5 coil can find. Detecting in the water of a old campground beach I managed to find the coin line. I worked it hard and did manage a couple of wheat pennies and then I got a screaming 84-85 signal. Took some digging with the scoop but I got it and it wasn't the silver dime I expected. It was an antique sterling silver boy scout ring. Circa 1950's or 60's . Keep cool and good hunting. 😊

Wow that 900 and the coiltek coil are impressive. Of course operator skill is definitely involved too. Silver is always great to find and a surprise Mercury dime is awesome, but I did laugh out loud at the “Sterling” toilet flange. Gotta love it. Till next week Greg, happy hunting!!!

Great test of that Nox900 & Coiltek coil, Greg! Do you think that dime read 75 from being on edge? If so, that yet another good lesson to dig it all. Funky numbers are fun to dig. That old bracelet catch is cool. I bet you're ready to take that machine to some private permissions now! 😲👍

Someone mentioned a automotive temp probe for the mystery find. It looks like that to me also. The spike you found looks like a spike that is molded into a pitching rubber for baseball. There are usually 3 such spikes on them. Nice hunt! Good job.

I was amazed by the cannister ball. Some years back l was detecting in my backyard when l dug up a 1" lead ball which baffled me. I live in a county in Missouri that saw many CW skirmishes, but l had never made the connection. I had it identified finally, a lead shotshell ball from the CW. Good job Greg, as always.

Sterling is the name of a plumbing fixture manufacturer. That is a chrome plated brass sink drain. Found several of the pipes that connect to that piece stuck straight up and down in the ground. They're just as shiny and sound pretty loud on my Xterra pro.
