They'll Know We are Christians By Our Love

Will they know we are Christians...? This is my rendition of a great Christian song written by written by Peter Scholtes. I made a minor lyrical change in the 4th verse which asks the question "will they know?" rather then "they will know" as the other verses state. Ephesians 2 really brings home the fact of the unity we have as Believers, while at the same time bringing conviction of how far we still have to go exemplifying the true love of the Savior for all. There's an updated version with a new verse from John 13:34-35, "A new command I give you..." here: • They'll Know We are Ch... . Thanks for listening, ken

Thanks so much for posting this. As a church music director it can be really hard to find gospel music that isn't MIDI. I love this organic sound and your guitar style is very dynamic and heart felt. Nice ending chord....Bach used to do the same thing, he felt that worship music should always end on a happy chord. Nowadays they call it a Picardy third...thanks.

Yes, a sad state the Church is in today. This is why Jesus said: "Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?" And then will I profess unto them, "I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity." - If you find Christ (personally), you will experience and see.. and also have personal challenges with sin following Him. Losing one's life to find it is only easy through Him

There are many people who are religious out of show, it is sickening but I promise there are good people out there! I have never stepped foot in a church until last spring when I was 19, I just moved to the neighborhood and so far it was a very racist neighborhood, I felt so lonely because this isn't my home country and I am totally alone and these amazing strangers took me into the church and treated me like a daughter! They ask after me buy me groceries (I'm in college), gives me rides etc

This song makes my heart hurt. It's got a lovely melody, but do Christians listen to the words of this song at all? Because as an outsider looking in, I do not know that people are Christians by their love or their cooperation or kindness. Generally, I know them because they can beat anybody else hands down for cruelty and disrespect. Now, I know this isn't every Christian. I've met a few really great ones. But in general, I'd much rather hang out with a Buddhist.Or a Muslim.Or a Pagan.
