Slenderman was a great character in the original game, seeing a remake finally happening is amazing

Rosswood Park is a place that is extremely integrated into the lore of Marble Hornets, which was was one of the first ARG's of its kind, and it popularized Slenderman. Huge props to the Devs for bringing Marble Hornets and the OG slender back to life, and huge props to all the writers and actors on Marble Hornets who made such an amazing world that sucks you right into the story.

hey! as a speedrun moderator for this game I would absolutely love to maybe see you try some runs! there isnt much in the way of strats or many runner yet but I reckon it could be a lot of fun!

As somebody who lives in a forest,this game has the most realistic flashlight UGGGHHH. You really cannot see sh*t out here with a typical flashlight! Perfectly captured my anxiety with "my flashlights gonna go stinky mode". Even in games it seems to happen when you need it most...🤣

I genuinely adore seeing Slender Man outside of the creepypasta bubble and in his own game again. It feels refreshing to not have to see him being linked to other characters that basically made him less terrifying. No Trender Man or Splendor Man, just this entity of the wicked unknown. Also, yes, I'd love to see you try to complete the original Slender: The Eight Pages. :)

The trick to beating the original is to look at Slenderman while he's behind a tree. That way he won't be able to move but he also won't be able to kill you. That allows you to make some distance.

i really enjoy games where the monster isn't all in your face but instead builds up a lot of tension like this does

I feel like Slender man deserves a lot more games cause he was one of the first horror entities

Immediately recognized the music during the final chase at 12:50 . The creator seems to have used a remix of "My Heaven" from Silent Hill 1 that plays during a later transition to the other world. Very unsettling and stressful track, especially in the original.

Slender: The Arrival is getting a 10 year update with new content! New chapter, and a big graphical update coming in October!

You have to beat OG slender the eight pages. The prophecy must be fulfilled! I actually beat the game, a good tip for when he’s following you is to put a tree in between you and him and then walk backwards while looking at him. It can help you gain some distance from him. The more you look back at him the closer he gets to you. Running through the trees can sometimes help too, since he can sometimes “lose” you in them. Hopefully those tips help out.

Just saw the first playthrough, Insym is that typical survivor in a movie who can't stop looking back and walking around in circles because he keeps turning himself around. Dying in the pipe after looking for an exit for so long was well deserved. That being said, seeing him lose composure and his ability to rationalize because the game is so horrifying is a special thing XD Great Video!

There needs to be games that troll you by having passcode locks but good password hygiene and there's just no way to find out the code because no one wrote it down.

I remember watching my brother play Slender: The Eight pages back in 2012. I was six at the time and had absolute nightmares of Slender. Right now, 11 years later, rewatching this horror game, it still gives me chills and I'll always have a fear of Slenderman. 😭 The dark forest, ominous music and the feeling of being watched... yeah, I hate it.

I love horror games and movies, but ever since I was a little kid Slender was the most terrifying thing to me and I don't know why lol. I've tried multiple times to play slender the arrival and I just can't it scares me so bad and gives me the most uneasy feeling ever lmao.

The extra ending was going into the tunnel/sewers when escaping.

I looked up the sewer ending after watching your first stream. Unlike the "true" ending, it actually has an ending sequence.

I remember playing this at my cousins house on my school laptop. Crazy that was over 10 years ago already.

i never play horror games but watching you play slenderman was so nostalgic hope they can make big bucks here and create new maps or something. maybe make the new game a bit harder though other than that it looks great

I just low how many horror games insym plays and the lengths of each video.

"If there is anything I know, it's that the original is unbeatable." I can say for a fact that multiple early-age KZfaqrs have beaten the original 'Eight Pages' Slender game. Just saying. Granted, even Insym has rapidly changed his mind here, so I don't know if that is saying 'unbeatable' is just his own inability or desire to beat it... Or if it's simply a misinterpretation of ability to beat it.

A game made in 2012 could absolutely have graphic settings lol! Red Dead Redemption 1 was released in 2010 & it still holds up graphically today imo. It shows its age now, but it still looks great for an old game.

Hearing the name Rosswood Park again brought back some memories. Marble Hornets, TribeTwelve (fuck you adam), and EverymanHYBRID were all a big part of my teenage years, and I'm glad this remake harkens back to the ARGs.

Intresting slenderman fact: On May, 31st 2014, two 12 year old girls that were best friends attempted to kill their third friend, also a 12 year old girl by stabbing her multiple times. They left her to d!e but she crawled out of the forest and a man saw her and made sure she got emergency medical attention. She miraculously survived to see her supposed “best friends” get long jail sentences. She’s fully recovered today (probably not regarding the trauma though). The girls reasons?: They believed Slenderman was going to befriend them if they k!lled someone.

When I was a child I went to my bestfriend's home and we played slenderman and I was the keyboard and she was mouse. We got our first note and then she wanted to go back where we came and I said no, we'll go to the other way, because that where we came, and she said no, we came from the other way. So when we finally started to move the slenderman instantly appeared infront of us and we screamed and ran for her father to feel safe. That was funny :D We were like 9-11? Im not sure

ROSEWOOD!!!!! Sorry huge Marble Hornets fan. Rosewood Park was such a huge part of it. Although they called him the Operator. Original Slenderman game was made as a fan game for Marble Hornets so love seeing any hint to original material. I am though against Slender the Arival. Mainly because they asked Marble Hornets crew for story, then threw everything of theirs out wrote a worse none approved story. And still put the creators names on it. So I won't be surprised if the creators didn't want any more games done, so that the game makers don't add anything else that takes away from original story. Also the Marble Hornets crew broke up so don't know what will come now.
