A good change to not make freezer useless with pyro is to make the ice deal area damage once melted by the pyro. Maybe also add a “brittle” effect which makes the enemy take more damage after this

I think they should make freezer like the shotgunner, where if you have good placement u can actually get reallt good freezes, and also give it an ability

Although the freezer is the worst tower, it's relatively balanced for noobs, as newer players' defenses lack dps, so the freezer buys time. Also the Act III glitch where it perma-froze everything, everyone used it.

I have a good idea for you to use them with slugger to do like five times the damage I would normally do plus more freeze time

Atleast in Tower Battles the Cryogunner is actually really helpful even though its a beginner tower

I have a rework idea Freezer base cost 400, damage 0, fireate 2 seconds, range 8, freezes enemies for about a second, splash freezing, tower placement limit 8. Lvl 1 cost: 350, damage 1, fireate 2, range 12, freezes enemies for about 2 seconds, retains splash freezing. Lvl 2 cost: 700, damage 2, fireate 1.5, range 16, freezes enemies for 3 seconds, retains splash damage. Lvl 3 cost: 3,000, damage 5, fireate 1, range 16, freezes enemies for 3 seconds, loses the splash damage but gets the hypothermia effect if an enemy gets frozen over 3 times they'll start losing health and walk slower until they die. Lvl 4 cost: 15,000, damage 25, fireate 0.5, range 30, gains hypothermic seige ability gives every enemy besides bosses and molten enemies in its range the hypothermia effect. None of these levels can freeze bosses or molten enemies. Do you like this rework idea?

used to spam the ice ability back it when was present. we took down bosses really easily with that ability. good times...

This is the same with the sledger and the jesters ice bombs. Toxic gunner is now the best tower for defence reduction if you plan on bringing freeze towers.

freezer just needs to have it be pyro's damage numbers and similar costs, while freezing after building up a bar against enemiees (has pierce) so that way it can do decent damage, slow and have enough impact to be worth putting in a loadout. Because as it is, its pretty much worthless. Even its older version kinda sucked since its better to just replace the- 10k cost (not joking) with like 3 max gold scouts to get a way bigger profit. Its damage is low, its freeze is bad and to make things worse, it has no splash and low attack speed.

Ideas, if the freezer was to get a rework: - In Level 0, let it actually deal damage. Even if it is just 1 damage per shot. - Give this tower max hits. So like when upgraded to a certain level, let it freeze up to 2 to 3 enemies or so. - Display in the upgrades section how long the freeze time is. Increases almost every upgrade. - Have the enemies suffer damage while they're frozen solid. So maybe make that a level 2 or 3 upgrade or something. - Freezer's defense melting is pretty useless and pyro does it better, so get rid of it. - Bring his ability back. Please. We all miss it and that was what made him OP back then.

Imagine if the Christmas event is called “freezer’s revenge” where you get a report that a freezer stepped on radioactive stuff and he became sane about all the stuff the devs did to him then he makes you unable to use the op towers like engi golden mini and maybe accel

Paradoxum games promised us a freezer rework but they give us ranger and mini rework instead, like how many times do they have to rework these 2 towers

Its not only bad but alot of strong enemie that you want to slow down have freeze imunity so its even worst

It also affects sledger by the way Also setting freezer to random might help since it shoots the frozen enemies and it doesnt stack slowdown

Honestly I want them to rework freezer into being an aoe tower like Pyromancer where it sprays some cold icy waves, or turn it into a mage like character (not a skin) that has aoe stunning on it's entire range (kinda like the fire mage from arena tower defense)

Well, for the new unfreezing mechanic that works for all towers that freeze freezer, cryo-blaster, and sledger

It’s kinda crazy how a melee freeze unit is better than freeze range unit

For reference for 6000$ you can almost get 2 level 3 sledgers or you can get around 3 level 2 wardens

The only way to use freezer is to use it in a cheesy way, that by just spamming them so hard to delay a enemy that you know you can't beat, That the only thing I've seen it be used for. I used the Pw2 old coin grind strat where you spam freezers to stall the amalgamation. thats literally it.

Honestly they should give it a upgrade where it doesn't have its freeze burned off when they rework it and call it permafrost, which will also slow the enemies afterwards. Why are they going for realism anyway? There's so many enemies that don't follow those rules.

hey heres an idea what if the admins made a new tower maybe called snowman or something that would do splash damage deal defense melting and freeze enemies for long the higher the boss the lower the freeze time but it would work faster plus if it could freeze other enemies that arent frozen yet it would work so much faster it is a great idea if you give it the right stats but the starter freezer yea theres no saving that tower but making a higher level one would work better

They should make freezer give frostbite after getting frozen wich increases the damage the zombies take by 20% every time it gets hit but still make it stay a single target unit and at max level make it deal 50 damage with 1.3 second atack speed

Sledger also getting nerfed in this is horrible for me since I have him in my main load out. I constantly have to warn people with G. Pyro that my sledger won’t freeze the bosses and tanks that are on fire.

Both of them cost $14,000 each so you can pretty much hold enemies back until you get healed pretty much the ultimate tanking built for extra farming

Here's a good idea for buffs to it: first off make the base fire rate 1.5 - 1.25 but also add a passive at max level that slows By 25% and if there in for longer then 3 seconds they get frost bite which reverses there armor into more damage taken and increases fire duration by 1.5x

I actually quite like the freezer, now call me what you want but i think if you place enough of them down they can stunlock a long time for the price, I (thanks for noticing) understand its not the best at its job and DEFININITELY needs a buff but i believe it can do ok ammounts of stunning for its price and i feel like its unfair to compare it to like eletro or sth cuz first its a beginner tower and secondly it 350, quite cheap, i understand the. My idea for freezer rework Coins needed for freezer will be now 2k Passive: can inflict cold and when it reach to 3 or after freezer hit it 3 times it will gain frostbite then lose 10% (stackable until 30%)of the enemy defence and last for 10 seconds but if there is a pyro nearby the freezer the frostbite effect will be removed from the enemy but the passive will change to hypothermia that will slow down the enemy by 10% (not stackable). Base stats Placement cost: 400 or 450 Dmg 0 Spa 2.5 Range 9 Upgrade 1: Cryo gun Cost to upgrade: 500 Dmg 1 Spa 2 Range 11 Upgrade 2: feezing air Cost: 1000 Dmg 4 Spa 1 Range 10 Upgrade 3: better snow gear Cost 3000 Dmg 5 Spa 1 Range 12 Switch: can switch mode to aoe that gives him a weapon like pyro but it shoots snow ang gives him 9 range, 2 dmg, 0.75 spa Upgrade 4: cold reaper Cost 5000 Dmg 9 (aoe mode 3) Range 15 (aoe mode 10) Spa 0.75 (aoe mode 0.55) Gives him a slow aura that slows the enemy for 15% ( can stack with hypothermia ) and his weapons change for the singel target into a ice sickle shooter aswell as well as having a new thing called payback that negates the fire and can now apply frostbite every 2 hits and now last for 15 seconds Thats all, i am not good at balancing but i want your opinion of this is good if anything needs to change

The pyro not letting freezer freeze has been here for a while and it applies for all freezing towers including sledger

Sledgers freeze also can get burnt off Also ice tea freezer reduces the radius of where u can't place

I wouldn't really say freezer is bad tower since it's a support tower and people mostly compared it with its dps. Remember it's in the starter tower mean it's meant to help new player as it's the cheapest support tower they could afford on a early level so us a higher level player didn't use it and considered it bad because we can afford a better support tower that does better and start to meme on a starter support tower that is meant for easy mode and not difficult mode like fallen or hardcore. We all know we ain't bringing a starter tower to a hard mode like bring paintballer to hardcore mode cause it can do damage to lead like at that point that we unlocked hardcore we already have unlocked other tower that can do the exact same thing but way better. We don't really see much people bringing sniper, demoman, hunter, (scout and soldier doesn't count cause they have a golden skin) to play fallen or hardcore at all, because we have tower like minigunner, cowboy, accelerator, engineer to beat the mode already. Heck I use freezer on fallen and it clutch way more than I thought, just by placing 3 max out freezer help out alot and save me from losing so many time.

Freezer actually have a use, for stuns in strategy. You know strategy must had a perfect money so you can follow the strategy, because of how upgrade money works in freezer, you can't use electroshocker because the cost to upgrade is different from strategy. And one of them is hardcore gems grind strategy, use it to slow down the slow boss.

If a enemy is on fire, it can't get frozen. This means if a frost blaster, sledger, or freezer hit an enemy while its on fire it won't freeze them. Makes sense but it sucks.

He need to buff like AoE slow down enemy like pyro and chance to get freeze. Is my opinion :P

this is exactly why sledger is the best stun tower (in my opinion) - it's cheap like gladiator - it has piercing (at a certain level atleast) - it can deal HELLA DAMAGE, im talking it can take down 6 abnormal bosses at once - fast hit time, so it can get more hits if you dont have sledger, just use electroshocker please. it's electricity chaining or whatever is really good, but i'd pick sledger over it the only bad thing about sledger is it has no hidden detection, but you shouldn't even need that if you have a minigunner or even a gold soldier (unless hidden boss lol)

Man i wish oh tds came back there was some op towers but not in a way of minigunner or accel
