@jasonmarbach7800 For sure. Marvel did go through the process of voice matching when looking for new voice actors (the actors mentioned it in an interview), and clearly, they were quite meticulous about it. From the interview it seems that was the first priority.

@flybriur I'm a big fan of Alyson Court so I can tell the voice of Claire Redfield from this newbie, but was happy they got someone that sounded similar since Alyson declined to return due to wanting the part given to an Asian VA.

Fun fact: Older Jubilee is played by Alyson Court, the actress from the original series. She declined to play the younger Jubilee in the series because she wanted an actual Asian to play the role.

I liked the message of the first bit, "We've done the nostalgia thing. It's time to grow up now." It tells the audience what our expectations should be moving forward.

Adam just to remind you, Shatterstar was the son from the future of Longshot & Dazzler. He was born & raised on mojoworld and later joined XForce which was led by Cable. And Jay ? Forge's powers are that he can literally invent ANYTHING. Think of him as a mutant powered Mac Guyver.

It was because of a technicality: She was a minor. -> The very same day she turns 18; she learns how to master her powers (enough to truly join the rest of the adults) & also loses her virginity. Note: It is implied that Roberto is older than her, because they explicitly mentioned that she is the youngest living in the mansion.

the adversary was a demon spirit that chased Forgre around for a good long while. it was similar to the Demon Bear that wouldnt leave Moonstar alone.

Love the fact each episode so far has a slightly different rendition of the theme song (which most people don’t even realize and just think it’s the same version, lol) and that they keep changing the intro scenes with easter eggs that hint towards the episode. Plus the original jubilee voice actor cameo was chef’s kiss 😘. Oh and Adam… Mojo had 2 episodes in the original, Long Shot is the character you guys were talking about and I believe the line they sadly didn’t use was “I am Magneto… Master of Magnet” which was a mistake from the arcade game.

I loved this episode way more than if one pitched a “jubilee + mojo with 1/3 a storm episode” on paper. The execution was a excellent. And “my parents perished when I was a child” might be my favorite line reading of the entire series.

The Adversary is a huge reveal, if they follow the comic story line, this will lead to " The Fall of the Mutants" storyline which could be the last 3 episodes meaning Outback will be season 2

Shatterstar and Longshot are both from Mojoworld and had starry left eyes. Shatterstar had strawberry blonde hair in a ponytail, face protection and 2 double katanas. Longshot had similar powers to Domino, six fingers and throwing knives.

Minor note, the final boss in the original game was the actual Magneto. Mystique-as-Magneto was the next-to-last boss

Shatterstar and Longshot can be very confusing, especially since Shatterstar is essentially Longshot's son but also his grandfather... wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff Also, surprising us with Alyson Court not being Jubilee in this series but be Abcissa (an alternate Jubilee) is a nice touch!

Even though it's styled after a Sega cart, I believe that artwork is a variation on X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse for the SNES. The foreground characters are flipped in arrangement, and have slightly different poses, but is otherwise the same.

Not my fave of the eps so far but I like Jubilee learning a different use of her powers. I do wish they were better at showing a passage of time as Forge falling in love with Storm seemed very sudden but I liked that half well enough too. Looks like we gotta wait two weeks before part 2.

In the credits as it's panning in on Forge you can blink and you'll miss it but other than Wolverine; Havok, Polaris and Iceman (not in ice form) in the shot. That's awesome and I can't wait for them! Also, that was a great little Strongbad reference there, Adam. Well played.

So here's the facts. Longshot isn't lucky like Domino. He just hits whatever he's aiming for without trying. Domino's luck just makes things fall into place for her and her team. Shattershot isn't like either two. He was a construct slave from Mojoverse, like Longshot, but the star around his eye is a tattoo. Longshot's glows when he years his powers. Shattershot is a super trained soldier/warrior. He's more superhuman in his abilities. And that's the difference, guys. Enjoy

OK, Longshot - Luck when doing a good thing, hallow bones people attracted to men instantly attracted to him. Shatterstar - Enhanced physical attributes, able to channel concussive blasts through his swords, teleportation, ability to put up with Rictor long enough to lay him down by the fire.

It's Mephisto, LOL! There should've been a scene where the game glitches & somebody takes the game cartridge out of the console and blows on it and puts it back in, LOL! Don't ask me why, but the whole Jubilee episode reminded me of the Generation X tv show, with Jubilee, not because of any similarity in plot, but just due to Jubliee growing up.

X-Factor was the only other comic I read besides X-MEN. They are fricking hilarious. Lots of smartassery, Polaris is a badass green Maximoff, Havok (Havoc? I forget) is the better Summers, Feral, lots of Cable...just loved it.

Fun fact: the VA for Abscissa (video game Jubilee) is Alyson Court, who is the original VA for Jubilee in the old series. Deeper cut for you Peaches who are also Resident Evil fans: Alyson Court was also the original and longtime VA for Claire Redfield.
