Having to find something and getting a prize if you do find it (afikomen) , soup with a circular food inside of it (matzah ball soup), etc. I’ve also celebrated a Hanukkah mixed with Christmas. Marble and Fluttershy should have had more interactions

"The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows" is another one of Pinkie Pie's craziest episodes, Her ability to keep a secret without the making a Pinkie promise was really put to the test in this episode. I mean I kinda felt bad for her because of all the frustration she kept building up while keeping the secret about Cadence and Shining Armor, But parts of it were hilarious especially when Pinkie Pie fell part after Twilight figured out that Cadence was expecting. But you know, I often thought that Pinkie Pie may not have Pinkie promised anypony else to keep the secret. But if you ask me Pinkie could've just made a Pinkie promise to herself because as we all know Pinkie Pie can't break a Pinkie promise even if it's one to herself. As for "Hearthbreakers" it was nice to see the apple and pie families joining together to celebrate the holidays. However even though I can understand Applejack's reasons for wanting to share the Apple family holiday traditions with the Pie's, She had no right to just force it onto them. But at least everything worked out in the end. And fun fact: A lot of people started shipping Big Mac and Marble Pie after that episode. And it's one of the most chaotic ships in the mlp fandom, Because lot's of people think it's wrong due to the whole thing about the Apple and Pie families being related. But on the other hoof since it was never officially confirmed (Not even in the "Pinkie Apple Pie" episode) people still think the ship works, But oh well. Either way it's a thing enough said.

I agree with the reaction for the Marble pie and Big Mac thing I find it weird bc they’re cousins and the argument is “well what if they aren’t biologically related” I still think it’s weird because they still see each other as family abd saying that is weird bc it’s the equivalent of saying it would be okay to date a step family member or an adopted family member bc you aren’t “biologically related” ITS STILL WEIRD

Rock soup is a thing and some people say if you end up with the rock in your bowl, it's supposed to be good luck. Only reason I know is I actually had a teacher that made it for us in elementary school and I was one of the 'lucky students to get one. lol. The story she told us apparently goes all the way back to the 1700's and the moral is basically about coming together and sharing. Honestly I love teacher that add a bit of fun to the lesson, makes it more memorable.

Soup stones go in every pot of soup. The porous rock absorbs and releases all the flavors. A well seasoned stone can add an incredibly complex flavor to your soup. Especially usefull if you are poor and some nights the soup is basically just water and salt.

I don't know if it ever actually happened or if it's just a story, but there's an old tale where a woman who claimed to be making rock soup brought her village together with each person adding something to the soup and they all shared in the meal. I'm pretty sure this isn't what the Pie family eat, especially considering the Pies actually eat the rocks in the broth.

The we get to, yeah the least good, but still overall fine Christmas special/ep of the show. An interesting twist is a lot of fan speculation that the Pie's traditions, 'hiding' presents so well that nopony actually finds one, eating nothing but rock soup, no real elaborate decorations, etc... were because they don't have much extra money, and were doing their best to give the girls the best Heartswarming they could. Which adds an extra layer to what AJ did as it coming off like her rubbing how much better off her family is in their face.

The two men ask for food but she insists she hasn't got it, to which they go "tis a shame, we could have taught you the legendary rock soup, it is capable of making you live longer," and etc So she gets to it, gets carrots, meat, veggie etc then a washed rock. It is only later that she figures out that with or without the rock it's the same soup. It's basically an old story that teaches about scammers I guess

Rock soup is technically a con. The story goes and it’s not exactly accurate. Is it a guy approaches a very insular village and he’s just basically about to be driven away, but he says that he can make a soup using just a rock. They were curious about how he was going to do this, so they gave him a big old cauldron, and then he picked up a simple rock, washed it off, cleaned all the dirt off and threw it in the cauldron after a while he would stir and stir and stir this ‘soup’, but then he says oh it needs a little something and so he starts calling for onions and carrots and root vegetables, meat, broth, spices, and all this eventually he says yes. This rock soup is done. Then he serves out a great feast of rock soup which is actually just regular meat stew/soup that started with just a rock. And in some versions of the story, he is driven out of the town when the con is discovered but hey at east he got dinner😅.
