Ateez have so much potential their performance are phenomenal. They are going to be big

ateez has a storyline throughout mvs (something like bts does) and they are trying to find the treasure (i.e. the pirate themes). the versions of them wearing the dark clothes, hats and maskes, which you'll see more in hala hala, are the dark versions of them if im not wrongs, you can see them in the answer mv at the table with themselves, to me it looks like them trying to make peace, but at the end of the mv you see the same room all smashed up as if they fought. im still trying to figure out the storyline but thats basically what i got from it. please atiny let me know if i missed anything (i definitely did ) or if i got something wrong!

My son (age 22) was only ever ARMY and I told him to listen to Ateez, he wasn't interested, then he watched "Answer" and now he's hooked, knows all their names and watches their crack/info videos, that's the power of K-pop, it grabs you and pulls you in deep. the guys with the hats and masks are like a dark/evil version of themselves and the main antagonists of the 'treasure' series of albums. that's why at the end there you can see it cutting between them in their normal outfits and the black ones. it's showing that they're the same people. (also it's why when the one seonghwa is staring at takes off his mask we can see that it's also seonghwa. also why san's reflection is one of the masked guys.) dark ateez appear in most of their music videos but are especially prominent in say my name, hala hala (which is basically their theme song), and answer (they're the guys across the table from ateez at the very end) but make cameos in many others. their storyline is largely up for interpretation but my own understanding of it is that ateez are searching for their 'treasure' (which is left largely abstract and unexplained as to what it actually is) but along the way encounter these dark versions of themselves who antagonize them until ateez fights back in wonderland. then in answer they can be seen toasting each other and it appears they've come to a truce, realizing that the two opposing groups in fact need each other for their goals (reaching the treasure). that's why there's the mysterious guy in the spiky mask at the beginning and end of answer, i theorize he's the new villain the two ateezes are going to have to join forces and fight together.

just wanted to add here that the ending of the say my name mv actually sounds like the beginning of 'treasure' which is another of their songs. The members actually confirmed it themselves and said that say my name was actually a prequel to the events in pirate king and treasure (both their debut songs) and the all black costumes with hats and masks are their oufits in 'hala hala' and can also be seen in the 'answer' mv as sitting opposite to real ateez.
