I remember watching that 2002 Lakers vs. Kings playoff series with my family. Even though we were all rooting for the Lakers, it was obvious the fix was in. LA wouldn't have won that series without the help of the refs. Also: (1) Ewing going to the Knicks as the #1 pick was all too convenient (2) Referee Tim Donaghe getting caught fixing games was no lone wolf; just the tip of the iceberg (3) BronBron bringing the championship to Cleveland vs. an all-time great Golden State Warriors game was another NBA pre-determined plot line come to fruition.

The very clear cut cases of manipulation is what soured my love for hoops, more specifically the NBA. Growing up I was a huge Blazer fan, being a local and its our only pro sport... all my eggs in one basket so to speak. I would watch almost every single game. Well, as I got older and older I started to see a pattern, or a few patterns. To be clear, im not saying we would have 10 titles or something... but that 03 season is a great example of... if we can't win this... what will it take? We have a difficult time getting big names unless we draft them and our luck in that category is sad haha if you are a big fan, don't lose that... but also keep your expectations low when it comes to respect and honor when billions are involved.

This series between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics 2022 championship I think is being fixed for a dramatic game 7. It is game 6 tonight and GS is up 3 - 2. After taking game 4 in Boston where the Celtics team looked like a completely different team in the fourth quarter. For the first three quarters Boston had there feet on the gas and playing aggressive defense and having there way on offense against the Warriors. Then in the 4th quarter it was a 360 degree turn around. With Boston up 2 - 1 and leading into the fourth quarter it looked as though they just stopped playing. Tatum who was doing well in all 4 games up to this point just simply disappeared in the fourth, shooting the ball once in the last 7 minutes and passing when he clearly should have been in take over mode to secure the win. The only player to do consistently good offensively with GS was Curry. Klayton, Poole, and Green were not having good offensive games but somehow it became a one man show with Curry to even the series up 2-2. Then after the game Curry said that they now have home court advantage back. Now of course GS would win game five on there court and now it is back to Boston for game six in which I believe they will win on there court and then it is back to GS for the epic game 7 were the duel of Curry and Tatum will be seen as a marketing advantage for the league with an emphasis on Curry winning his fourth ring and Taytum having to come back and try again in the future.

What about 2012 western conference finals Spurs vs Thunder, 2013 NBA Finals Spurs vs Heat. In ‘12 Spurs were on a 22 game win streak that included sweeping their way to the western conference finals n in games 3-6 of that series the Thunder were allowed to physically beat the Spurs up. Even in Game 3 Gregg Popovich did what he could to make the world take notice by taking out all his starters. Then in ‘13 the Spurs were up 3-2 on the Lebron/Wade led Heat with a six point lead with 45 seconds on the clock n not only did Popovich take Tim Duncan out the game after being the best player on the floor all game, he didn’t put a big man in the game n allowed Miami to get an easy rebound with a 7 foot Bosh out rebounding Tony Parker, Manu Ginobila, n Danny Green twice in those final 45 seconds, but even that wasn’t enough to save them n the refs had to help Miami n when the timeout was called to advance the mall the Spurs never got the chance to even check the ball in as an offensive foul was called on Boris Diaw who was standing perfectly still got ran into by Mario Chalmers n they got hit with an offensive foul. To me these two years were the greatest disservice to us all especially Tim Duncan because he could have finished his career on a three peat n would have been the GOAT of his era over Lebron n n The GOAT period with 7 titles in 14 years while being the greatest defender n shot blocker ever

2006 series between Dallas and Miami. Everyone knows that Stern and Cuban had bad blood with each other back then , and Dallas wasn't supposed to even be in the finals. I have seen the replay many times when Wade was " supposed" to have been fouled in game 5 ( phantom foul) and he wasn't! It is said that he told one of the referee crews quote,that he didn't want that trophy to come to Dallas

When my Spurs were doing really good I remember shouting the refs are rigging it for us. I think this was a Spurs vs Kings or Grizzlies game and there was some bs calls that escalated to technicals. The game was very close until the refs decided to help the Spurs lol I'm a biases Spurs fan but I can spot bs when I see it, and honestly we might of lost that game if it wasn't for the refs.

Even though I'm an Orlando native and and supported the Magic at one time, I can peep that Masonic handshake between Chris Webber and Afternee "Penny" Hardaway. I lost interest in the league when they started building all these super teams with all these stars teaming up. The NBA is clearly looking for ratings, so they generate these storylines over the summer to get people excited about the next season. There's no real beef between players and owners, it's just fabricated to "justify" crazy trades and/or signings.

David stern treats the NBA like WWE while Adam Silver treats it like a sports league

I literally stopped watching the league for a couple of years after the Kings/Lakers, Blazers/Lakers, and Bucks/76ers atrocities. It was so beyond clear that that league had an agenda that it was disgusting.
