In Africa, truth be told, we do not prioritise legal adoption, i am raising 4 children with me not my own, not for my husband except 1, i always hear, why not legalise adoption, they all schooling in private schools, i see no need, they are all in my official documents, you dont need to belong to me by paper to inherit from me, same way i was loved n raised by a step father who never legally adopted me, i was his own, his beloved till he breathed his last, for 20yrs my heart refused comfort till i came across the comforter himself, Jesus n received him in my life, today, i am an ordained minister of the gospel. I can only say, let love lead.

She is a good story teller indeed. A smooth talker too. BUT! She mentioned that her biological mother and siblings are alive living in their family home. Wonderful. I even thought she was an orphan. She said in one of her earler post that Mr Ibu was a friend to her late military father. Why did he not adopt her biological siblings as well? Why single her out, a grown female for adoption? Only her, a grown woman? And then she abandoned her own father's name to bear Mr Ibu's surname?. And which wife will sit lying low and watch a strange "adopted" daughter to be in charge of her husband's affairs. Will Jasmine herself accept that in her own marriage? The so called adopted daughter was already grown when her father died, yet Mr Ibu singled only her out of her father's children to adopt. And then she abandoned her own father's surname. Her father was in the army, so I guess they are not that poor. So what was the adoption for? Imagine? And her videos with the Mr Ibu doesn't even look like father/daughter videos. Will she accept this kind of relationship from her own husband with another adult female who is not a blood relation to her husband? Finally, What type of adopted daughter will enter a family it seems like she is not in a good relationship with any of Mr Ibu's people - wife or children. Very strange story indeed. I'm raising a son and it's now 3 years with him. He is the string of my heart when people ask me I say that I 'm a single mother of 3 children. I have not legally adopted him but guess what till the last drop of my blood my son will have a half of my heart and of course he will inherit like my other 2 kids. Most people just talk negative about individuals they don't know anything about. This girl is so bright, sincere, hard working, and has a beautiful heart. She calls the man 'Daddy' like any loving grown daughter would do to a loving Dad. Leave the girl alone, she has been through to much while doing good caring for her 'Dad' and making all kinds of sacrifices paying s hool fees for his kids, handling his medical expenses, accommodating him etc. Most grown daughters are out there who would not care for their biological fathers or n same condition as this girl did in this situation. While there might be some truths to her side, there are some unanswered questions - there is a video of her chiding Mrs IBU like a kid, calling her by her name but here she claims to never have done it. Why did Mr IBU ever admit in a voice note that there relationship was more than father - daughter, only to later deny it? In any case, I wish her well and pray IBU has eternal rest.
